This was a really fun quiz for me. I was laughing a little bit at myself trying to listen to myself pronumounce the words over.

wow! 97% northeast, and if I'm from New York chances are good people could actually hear that I am. Great considering I'm from Sweden...

Result was northeast; close enough. I was born in Michigan but moved to California when I was 8 years old.

I'm from the West and it said I had an Inland North Eastern accent. Never lived in that territory, go figure.

the test said i was from the northeast. i have been told all my life when in other parts of the country that is must be from new jersey or brooklyn and on occasion philly. i am from neither....i am from new orleans and most native new orleanians sound like they are from hoboken, new jersey. read the book confederacy of dunces and you will understand our accent.

Said 93% inland north. Could not have been more spot on! Born and raised in WI and now have lived in the Upper Prnibsula of MI for 5 years. I think it is the combo of "about" and "on" that nailed me :)

I have never visited Philadelphia. I was born and reared in the South. I wonder if, by "Philadelphia", you mean "educated"?

Well, they've got me pegged. The funny thing is, when I was younger I worked hard to get rid of my New York accent, but now I find I'm kind of proud of it.

Indiana, New York, Boston, San Francisco - but the quiz said Philadelphia 100% where I have never been.

This test is not accurate at all, you see, I've lived my whole life in California ans Arizona. Not Back East!

You were right on the ball when you said my voice was right for TV or Radio! I was offered a job in Oneil, Nebraska as a weather reporter on the radio there for $2.75 an hour in 1979!

Stop calling it the midland accent. It's a neutral accent considering it's in the southwest, and west as well.

Mine said I was from North central (Minnesota) and actually I'm from North east (Pennsylvania)

I am from Maryland, North of Baltimore. I never thought I had any accent either. Was born and raised here.

This quiz said I was from Philadelphia or near there. Is San Francisco near Philadelphia? I didn't think so.
