He only got the hell out of his mom's house because at around 13ish, he sliced open his own arm and told the cops it was her doing, basically forcing CPS's hand after numerous attempts to get help from them. He eventually ran away in search of his dad, who turned out he was kidnapped from by his mother when she was deemed unfit to raise him. His father insisted took him in, encouraging his love of music for years. He was a loving parent to him, but he could never erase the years of hurt inflicted onto his son

Ricky loves his dad, but to a degree, still feels unworthy of him. Hard not to when for as long as you can remember, you were always told you weren't worth the ground you walk on.

Not only does he have his own mental health struggles that vary greatly from time to time, but his sexuality and keeping it out of the public's knowledge. Letting people find out could open him as well as his bandmates up to serious harm and hatecrimes. He is a gay man but it's much more difficult to hide when he suffers gynophobia and has a panic attack being NEAR a woman for less than half an hour. He tries hard to fake being straight at public appearances, but what people don't see is when he's sobbing in the bathroom for an hour because all he can picture is his mother and he feels like he's having a heart attack, terrified he'll wake up back in that house. They don't see how no matter how tough he acts, proclaiming that he doesn't need someone to 'tie him down,' that he longs for the intimacy his bandmates have with their girlfriends or wives. That he longs to just be normal.

They don't see when he's crying in the studio when everyone's gone because he feels like a complete failure in life even when he's made it to the top. They don't see how he never considers himself truly happy, or being worthy or being able to be happy..

Depressing character, yeah I know. He's difficult to explain, does way better in roleplay where you can

Her name is Shoga Black. She is a MHA fan character and one of the villains from the LOV.

Her quirk is animal shifting, she can turn into any animal she wants. Although it is werewolf-ified and has to have red and black colors. She is very close with Toga because I simp for Toga but they aren't together until very far into the story. She is 6'8 and is very very VERY muscular. But she is not abnormally strong besides punching and scratching with her claws. She takes into the form of a werewolf most often btw.

For a long time she seems to be mute and doesn't like to communicate verbally. When she does talk she has a very deep, gravely, Corpse like voice. Her main purpose in the story is to fight alongside Toga and Twice. And if you know, get revenge on Hawks for what he did.

She uses He/She pronouns, is Bi Gender, a Lesbian, and for the most part loves people and is very extroverted. She loves kids and small animals. She admires the thought of having kids and being a mother. She admires old people unless they are rude and mean.

Etc. She ran away from America and came to Japan to be completely isolated form anyone who knew her. She has many scars, 2 of which came from Toga's admiration for her love of blood, since myself have a love of blood (It was never related to Toga, just a fun coincidence).

I used a JSAB OC, Trinity Blossom, who basically came into existence from a glitch in the shape-making matrix. Basically, all the shapes are "born" from the Tree of Life as lifeless shapes that contract color from the environment around them.(kinda like ponies and cutie marks lol) Something had went wrong while Trinity was being made, and instead of being a heart , she looked much more human, with a birth mark shaped into a heart on her cheek. She got her color from cherry blossoms that were on the trees at the time she was made, so she has lightly-pink tinted skin, and magenta colored hair. And most shapes are born with shapeshifting powers or weapons too, but of course that glitched, resulting in her being able to form into a small creature with wings, but not being able to control her form. She's clueless as f---, since she knows little to nothing about the world, so she has a very positive outlook and a bubbly personality. She's stuck in a war between corrupts and pures, so she's kinda the push-me-pull-me toy, because no one really knows what side she's on-

My character is Theresa Rachel Stark and is an MCU OC. She looks usual(brown eyes, brown hair, tan skin). She has been abused by foster parent after foster parent and is suicidal. She is Iron Man's little sister and was abused by her original family also(mainy her father Howard). One day, she was at one of her first abusive homes, and an assasin came, telling her that she was a friend of the mans. The assasin then killed him, but caught a glimpse of the fresh scars that ran down Theresa's back. Assasin took the child and gave her a happy couple of months. Theresa was found and but back in the foster system, saying her name was Tessa(the assasin's nickname for her) Michelle(the assasin's name) Howard(that nae was familiar). Fast forward until it is her two year anniversary with her one good foster parent, when she has a flashback to her childhood(before any foster parents) and sees her brother. She goes home after school and there's Tony Stark, talking to her foste parent.

She doesn't know that she has a superpower, given to her by way of a botched super soldier serum that her father gave her. The serum gave her a healing power that forces her to take on someones injuries if she has skin-on-skin contact. I got 19%

I got 15% Mary Sue, here is my OC, she is apart of the Jurassic Park fandom. (Not related to any cannon character). She was used for a roleplay. Some of her backstory is for plot.

Her life was normal until 5 years old. Her parents divorced, then her mother won the custody battle. Scarlet (her mother), soon became an alcoholic. Which made her toxic towards Lucinda. Slowly started to become mentally and a bit psychically abusive. Her mom got a boyfriend, which made matters worse when Lucinda was 10. She had participated in multiple school activities such as choir and JR. theatre. One day, her mom got arrested when Lucinda was 11. Social services got her in multiple different foster homes.

She was in a foster home with other kids, slowly on her path to regaining confidence again and try and leave the trauma behind her.

Freshman year, she was 'befriended' by Paula Chandler, Jessica Johnson, and Rosetta Hunter. Who are the toxic popular group, which she didn't know at the time that they were that toxic. She got into theatre that year. Lucinda got into a musical called Into the Woods, and got the role of 'Red Riding Hood'. Later that year, she got into another musical called Lit

My character was male so I don't know if that affected the score at all but I did get 14% I think I would have gotten lower if I didn't say he had a tragic incurable disease. I only said that because he has sickle cell disease, which can make you go blind or lose your vision in severe cases, which is why I needed him to have it because he starts losing vision around the age of 15 and I didn't want it to be for a random reason. His name is souls and he's from a universe I made up with a whole giant story-line. Basically, everybody has their own unique ability called a Soul Fire and some people have more powerful soul fires, these people are called destines or, destiny's, souls is a destiny and that's there are prophecies about him (And every other destiny) and that doesn't mean he's royalty either because he gets forced into purgatory for accidentally killing of half of the Kalidathian army, (Tee side in a war fighting for magic rights) and now he's forced to live on an asteroid in space big enough to have an atmosphere. Later on in the story, he does get infected by a darkness parasite, a thing that comes from the darkness, a powerful force slowly eating off the universe. (Basically, every villain in the story is a result of darkness) and so now he is slowly losing control of his own body as the darkness begins to take over his mind. When he does go fully mad, he ends up starting a "Revolution" that kills off 20% of the population of the known universe. After a while, he does end up getting killed by a huge chunk of ice smashing him so. kArMa HaHa. Souls was a very optimistic person before he was infected after he was very cruel and even attempted killing his apprentices caretaker. And basically after his death, the universe starts to go downhill, one by one each destiny dies off leaving one left who gets frozen by darkness and flung to a nearby planet, long story short the darkness wins and destroys that universe, creating the one we're in today!

I feel like I wasnt able to specify because he actually was kind of noticed immediately because he began as an antagonist and just attacked them, so the other characters noticed his attacks but didn't know who the hell he was. And uh, he's actually a human that killed himself and went to hell, so in human years he's 17, but in demon years he's 21.

Honestly, its understandable and I accept the fact that its a high percentage. My character is 15 and come from the year 3046 that time travels to the attack on Titan time line to change it. I would but also wouldnt say she has ptsd, because shes gotten so used to the experiments and murderes.

When it comes to relationships, no one fails for her and she doesnt fall for anyone, which I enjoy because thats what attack on Titan is somewhat about, there isnt time for relationships.

Levi being a popular character, I did make it so she saves Levi and Kuchel, but she looks at them like family and nothing more, she becomes close to young Erwin, but Erwin never falls for her and shes just using him to become his right hand man when Erwin becomes a commander.

The only relationship shell ever create with the characters are becoming their friends but also being that thorn in the ass for the trio main characters.

Shes quite strong and she has around a bit more strength than the ackermans, but she still gets injured.

I took this test because I honestly thought I made my character too much of a Mary Sue, and I accept and agree with the percentage, I take criticism and if you have any for me Id enjoy to take it in and change my character to make her less of a Mary Sue.

My character is MHA fan oc called Kumiko hisa (first name is Kumiko) so you might not understand if you haven't seen the anime. Yurei is an alias she uses throughout the story.

*She the daughter of the pro hero Spiriter (another oc) and a cop. She was a late bloomer with her quirk and I mean a LATE bloomer since she didn't get her quirk until she was 11. She was a joyous, loud child before finding out she was a late bloomer. After that she became rather reserved so her classmates wouldn't question her about her quirk. Her family life was stable until an incident. She had gotten her quirk which is a combination of her parents quirk which I will have to explain. Her mom's quirk called spirit allows her to have the appearance or abilities of a dead person or animal so if she uses a cheetah she can run really fast. Her dad's quirk is exchange so whatever he touches he can turn it into something else. So whatever Yurei touches will turn into an animal or object of her choice. A few month later she joined some classmates doing some vigilante s--- cause they think they are so strong and can be a hero. Basically hero killer is in the area and a run in with him equals traumatic experience for Yurei. Her quirk has a sort of energy bar that decreases each time she uses it and when it gets to zero she gets exhausted and bruised/cuts will appear on her body. She is at her limit and yells at stain (so smart-_-) to distract him from a class mate. Scars are left and stain let's them live cause they are vigilantes not really heroes or even heroes in training. Family finds out and Yurei is no longer allowed to be a hero cause it's way to dangerous for someone with no experience with their quirk. She runs away to pursue her dream and ends up working all kinds of jobs at 16 while lying about her age using her quirk to look like someone else. A teacher at ua witnesses her help protect some civilians in a villain attack and nezu is nezu helping her

The OC I used for this quiz goes by the name of Blue Zynophere. She was originally created for the fandom DDLC, but she's become a whole different OC, and I never use her in anything relating to DDLC anymore.. so I guess she's not a fandom oc. She's an angel with naturally blonde hair, but she dyed it blue and green eyes. She's 17, simply 2 years older than me. She was born in Japan but her dad is American and her mother is British. She kind of does have an 'edgy' backstory. She got kidnapped and kinda killed her dad on accident- her dad was trying to kill her boyfriend who was trying to kill Blue because Blue was being really stupid- she regretted it. Her mom yelled at her everyday for killing her father, she deserved it. She always acted like a demon, not an angel like she was supposed to. Eventually her mom got arrested after starting to physically abuse Blue. That's pretty much everything about her, unless you include my friend's ocs who heavily influenced her popularity. She doesn't really have any powers besides her wings, and her only mental disorders are depression and bipolar. Also. She's flatter than Natsuki.

I got 23% his name is Stephen and he has a mental disorder that his lover tried to force him to get help for it. He tries too get therapy and it doesn't work, he gives up and stops going. The only reason he got help is because his lover tried to get him to. Anyways he eventually ends up trying to murder his boyfriend (caused by him not getting help) but his boyfriend chokes him to death before he can murder him, the relationship was toxic mostly from Stephen, but also a little from his boyfriend. Stephen was more physical and emotional, and his bf was toxic emotionally. His bf got depression and anxiety caused by Stephen, and after his death he got ptsd as well. Basically it's a story about two guys one angry and pessimistic and one optimistic and Stephen makes the other become more like him, to the point when he has to kill Stephen.

I got a 23% for a fan fiction character which is honestly pretty good- Im not going to explain who he is or what hes a fan fiction of but hes a short-tempered hot-head who is protective of his friends, and has a sweet side. (Basically, the traits of his parents combined)

His name is Maru, an 11 year old boy with a twin named Mafu. I took the isekai trope from anime and used it for them.

Maru is a bit of a pushover and is terrified of the isekai world. His only trauma is from his parents kicking him and Mafu out very violently.

At one point he was seperated from his brother and taken in by this man to fight off monsters. Yeeyee

17% Mary Sue- thought it would be worse

His name is Max Evens, it starts out with him in grade 9, normal looking kid, blond hair, blue eyes, many freckles(dont take that statement lightly) He has a high interest in the arts. music, drama, dance are his main focuses.

I wouldnt consider his back story tragic, his parents are divorced as are over 50% of American parents. Max lives with his John his dad and his sister Rebecca who is 2 years older then him. He and his sister visit their mom once a week one Wednesday.

In the summer of his grade 9 year, Max decides that he needs a change so the classic cutting of the hair. Little back story about this, his girlfriend Nicole, now ex. Told him he was bland and boring. So he as it suggests he became the opposite of bland and boring. No yes this could be viewed as negative, the character changing him self just because someone said so. Now yes it did start out like that but he actually enjoyed the person he was becoming, he was braking out of his shell in a way.

Btw, the style he chose was punk, Mohawk, leather jacket, the whole shabang

Idk, always thought he seemed like a Mary Sue. But as long as your character has flaws and some normality to them they wont be to Mary Sue. If you struggle with things like this, look at people you know, look at their flaws and back storys, it will give it more realism.

I got 8% but I think it would be more. I dont know what to call them yet but theyre a Reverse-sona in a cyberpunk-ish setting.

Basically they live with my own persona, named Kittu. Kittus a full-time writer, Reverse sona (lets call them Doggu) is an extremely famous pop star. But hes also a part-time assassin.

Doggu isnt necessarily extremely evil but he is selfish, hes more so true neutral if anything. Sometimes hes bad, sometimes hes good, hes just looking out for himself and Kittu.

Hes charming, attractive, and is amazing at singing. And hoo boy does he get the ladies..and men. Hes pansexual but that isnt the most important to his story.

Basically he was, quite literally made for the use of pop. He was created in a lab, but he wasnt a natural good singer and was forced to work on his talent, even if he didnt want to. Hes an android and even with his charm, he still has a hard time processing them.

Thats extremely prevalent with Kittu, who has high functioning autism and depression. While Kittu does tend to drop signs of his stress, Doggu doesnt usually pick up on them.

I got 23% and honestly suspected I would get more. My OC, Ren Saito, is an oc from My Hero Academia. Her quirks (she has two which I thought would be a key factor in her mary-sue-ness) are healing (though she can only send temporary painkillers to herself and can't take away the pain for others) and mind reading (if she uses it two or more people at once or use it over an extended period she gets a headache). I made her main love interest(s) Katsuki Bakugo and Hitoshi Shinso which I also worried about - y'all gonna come for me lol.

Her father was quirkless and despised heroes, while her mother could heal others and send long-lasting painkillers to the patient. However, her mother nearly died whist trying to save an innocent bystander from harm and her father protected her, breaking his leg beyond repair. At this time Ren's healing power had manifested and her mother was in a mental hospital for the time being. Ren's dad just got out of hospital and she did something stupid.

Ren attempted to heal her father's leg, but got distracted by an on-coming sneeze. Instead of healing her father, she ended up (slight gore warning) ripping out his shin entirely and then sending it straight back down into his thigh. As he bled out, all she could do was sit and watch.

He died at precisely 6:13 on Monday.

And that is the tragic backstory of Ren Saito! There are a lot of plot holes to fill in, like: "Who was taking care of Ren?" and "Why was her mother traumatised?"

Honestly I just needed her mother out of the picture for at least an hour so Ren could accidentally kill her father. Wow, that's dark.

My characters name is Daniela shes five adopted by a gay couple despite shes still quite an ignorant girl she has adhd like in many other cases her classmates think her outbursts due to said mental illness are often her trying to be rude and disruptive she has ginger hair green eyes and pale skin and often an optimistic child not meaning to offend but regularly blunt causing More dislike from her classmates but even so she has about 10 friends 4 in her class as well

23% Mary Sue. I get it though. My OC is a total Yandere and nobody likes her, she was abandoned by her parents at a very young age until a recently married couple took her in. On her first day of school, she dropped her pencil pouch and it spilled down the stairs. Everyone in the area laughed at her other than her senpai. He went down the stairs to help her pick up her pencils, and as both of them stood up, they clashed their heads together. Both of them had a small bump on their heads but they toughed it out. Ever since then, my OC has been going around murdering anyone who steps between their love or poses some sort of threat. She has a very low sanity level and people at her school are starting to think she's going insane and she should be expelled, but nobody knows that she's the one behind the murders.
