Derrick heard footsteps coming up. "Derrick!!" his father called and opened the door.
"What?" Derrick asked.
"Just checking on you.." his father said. "Did you just sit in here the whole time?" Derrick nodded. "Wow." his father turned to Evelyn. "And how are you, young lady?" -
"I'm good..." She looked at the window. "There are birds outside..."

"Yeah.." derricks father said. "Well I'm off." he said and with that, he shut the rudolf again.
Gotta go. Goodnight. ^.^ -
The rudolf? And goodnight.
She waited until his footsteps faded, listening with keen kitty ears. When he was gone, she smiled at Derrick. -
Pancakes for humanity!

He slowly rook her hand, smiling back at him. -
She kissed him again.

He smiled into it, kissing her back.

Downstairs, the two men talked, oblivious.
She didn't know why she hadn't wanted to come in the first place. -
Derrick held her at her waist, breaking away, smiling.

She grinned at him.

He bit his lip, rubbing her back again.

She rested her head against his chest.

"I'm glad I met you." he mumbled.

"I'm glad I met you too," she whispered.
