She woke up, trying not to wake him.

She looked up at him, watching him sleep.

He mumbled something incoherent again.

She smiled faintly.

Derrick slowly woke up smiling.

She looked at him, and kissed his cheek. "Sleep well?"

"Mhmm. Did you?" He smiled.

She nodded, smiling.

"That's great." He took her hand and squeezed it comfortingly.
