This quiz said that I am from the Inland North. In fact I am from western Massachusetts. Our accent is not even close to a Boston one...and we call carbonated soft drinks soda!

Says I'm from Philly; I'm from NC. Never talked like my parents; neither did my older sister. We both always had less of a Southern accent for some reason.

Accurate for me. It guessed Inland North and I grew up near the Great Lakes. Yup, I call it pop. My cousin Dawn and my cousin Don absolutely don't share one name.

The quiz was totally off the mark for me. I'm from Northeastern PA, and it said that I was from the West and had no real accent. All my friends acknowledge that I do have an accent

I am from Montana and Have no accent as the quiz said! I sorta like this quiz except it is hard to tell someones accent without actually hearing it. so don't blame them for getting it wrong!

The quiz is right! it said I have a minnesotan accent and I am from minnesota and i live in Minnesota. When I was younger I moved to a different state and the kids in my class thought I talked funny, but I thought they did.

Considering that I am from the Southwestern US and the quiz said I had a Boston accent, I'd venture to say that the quiz needs some refining.

Wow...not bad. I do have a Wisconsin-y accent. Although I wasn't born there, never lived there and in fact lived in a dozen different places.

Maybe that's why people find my accent so hard to place...

"You have a Midland accent"

is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri)

Well, this really was on target (although there wasn't a question that pinpointed the infamous "Rochester 'a'" I've been told I slide into!) Western NY, down by the P.A. border, raised by a mom from OH IO.

Wrong! I got Inland North but I live in Boston. I just know the right answers, I know how those words are supposed to sound to an English-speaking person (and English is not my native language).

I'm from northern indiana, and I've always heard pop here. I'm in chicago pretty frequently (it only an hour away) and always heard pop there. I've heard mixes from michigan, but never heard soda in indiana or chicago...

My mom is from Connecticut, so I don't say "pop" or most other midwest slang, but otherwise this hit the nail on the head. I grew up in Michigan and I live in Chicago now.
