Hello, and welcome to Mystery at Hogwarts Part three! Hopefully, you will have already taken part one and two, otherwise this could be quite confusing!

I'm so sorry about how late this part is, I've been really busy. :-( I really hope that you enjoy it, and please leave a comment on what you think of the story so far! :-) Enjoy!

  1. Recap! You'd just arrived at Hogwarts, with Draco acting very different... he moved rather close to you in the carriage, eventually putting his arm around you. Harry and Ron seemed jealous for some reason...
  2. The sound of exited shrieks filled my ears, everyone seemed really pleased to be back. Professor McGonagall was hastily rushing around, trying to keep everything in order, as the grand doors to the Great Hall opened, and everyone filed inside.
  3. I scanned the area, looking for someone I knew (Other than Draco!) to sit next to. Fortunately, I saw Pansy Parkinson with an empty seat beside her! "Pansy!" I exclaimed whilst hurrying over to her. By the way, Pansy is my best friend, well, one of them anyway! "Jessica! Sit next to me!" Pansy asked, gesturing to the adjacent seat. I sat down, and hastily looked for Draco. Just as I'd expected, he sat down right next to me, but he was no longer smirking. I gave him a puzzled look, but he didn't notice, so I just turned back around to Pansy.
  4. "So Jessica, did you have a good holiday?" I sighed. Being the famous Deatheater Bellatrix Lestrange's daughter isn't easy! "Yeah, it wasn't too bad. How about you?" "Mine was average. Did you hear the news?" "What news?" I asked, although I had a pretty good idea of what the news would be. "The news about Sirius Black escaping from Azkaban!" "Oh yeah, I heard." I sighed, again, but this time with more sorrow. Bellatrix is my mother, and Sirius Black is her cousin, which means that I am related to Sirius Black! I had a secret, something I had never told anyone before. I had met Sirius Black, a long time ago, when I was about two years old. All I can remember is his face grinning down at me, tears of laughter and joy streaming down from his glistening eyes. My mind was brought back into focus by Pansy's voice asking another awkward question. "Do you think they'll catch him?" "Catch him? Oh, yeah, no, I don't know. Hang on, have we missed Dumbledore's speech?"
  5. We both turned around to face Dumbledore, and sure enough, we had actually missed his speech! "How did we manage that?" I wondered out loud to myself. "Jessica, what if we missed something important?" "Don't worry, I'll just ask Draco, he was probably listening." I turned around again, but this time towards Draco. He was staring blankly into the distance.
  6. "Draco, are you alright?" As soon as I had finished the question, he jumped and almost knocked over the pumpkin juice that had just appeared in the cup next to him! "What? Oh, yeah, I'm fine." He answered, rather taken back, but one thing was certain, he certainly didn't look fine. His face was about ten shades paler than it usually was, and his cold, blue/grey eyes were turning red, making it seem like he was about to cry.
  7. I didn't want to pressure him into telling me what was wrong, so I left it at that, and concentrated on what I was supposed be asking him. "Pansy and I weren't concentrating properly, so we missed Dumbledore's speech. Did he mention anything important?" "Oh,yeah, he said that the Dementors will be lurking around Hogwarts for a while, because of Sirius Black. That was all we really needed to know." I froze. The Dementors? At Hogwarts? Did that mean that the Ministry of Magic think that Sirius Black would be attempting to break into Hogwarts? If Sirius Black did try to do that, he surely wouldn't stand a chance, would he?
  8. "Thanks, Draco." He smiled meekly, then started piling his plate with delicious, succulent, mouthwatering food, whilst I turned back to Pansy. "So? What did we miss?" "Dementors are going to be roaming around Hogwarts because of Sirius Black!" "What?!" Pansy shrieked with horror. "Seriously?" "Yeah, seriously."
  9. It took everyone a long time to finish eating, but then again, it always did. The plates eventually cleared themselves, and Dumbledore dismissed us all, leaving us all to charge out of the Great Hall, and head to our beloved comments rooms. Pansy, Draco and I got up, and started to make our way towards the giant doors. "Jessica, can I speak to you for a moment?" I spun around, and saw Draco standing right behind me. "Yes, of course you can." He gestured for Crabbe and Goyle to leave, and I told Pansy to wait for me in our dormitory. "Follow me." Draco lead the way out of the Great Hall, and into an empty space just outside the doors. "Jessica, there's something that I've been wanting to tell you for a long time, it's a secret though, so you've got to promise not to tell anyone." "I promise, I won't even tell Pansy!"
  10. "It's about my father, you remember him, don't you?" "Yes, I do, continue." "You're aware of what happened at the end of last year, aren't you?" "You mean what happened with Tom Riddle's diary? Yes, I was there, with Ron and Lockhart." "Oh, yeah, sorry, I forgot about that. Anyway, remember when you came over to Malfoy Manner for the end of Summer last year, and we bought the supplies for our second year at Hogwarts together, with my father?" "Yes! How could I forget? We had such a brilliant time!" "Well, when we were in Flourish and Blotts, my father put that diary into the Weasly girl's cauldron, in hope that The Dark Lord would be able to return. It was his fault all along, but that's not all. He used to be a Deatheater, and he still is a Deatheater. He's been so overpowering lately, he always expects too much of me, and he never fails to remind me how useless I am. I had to tell someone, and you're the only person that I trust."
  11. I stood completely still. I really didn't know what to say! I had just been told a load of extremely unexpected and bewildering information in the space of about two minutes! Draco had just revealed some incredibly important secrets to me. If I told anyone that Draco's father was a Deatheater, and that he placed Tom Riddle's diary in Ginny's cauldron, he would be sent to Azkaban! "I suppose you don't want anything to do with me now, that would be what I'd expect." "What? Why wouldn't I want anything to do with you? I couldn't care less if you're father's a Deatheater! Or if he was one of the main reasons that the Basilisk was released last year! You're still my friend, and I'll always be there for you, no matter what happens!" I could tell that Draco was relieved by my answer, because he gave me a small, genuine smile of appreciation. "Thanks, that really does mean a lot to me! My father was wrong, he thought that you would hate me if I told you, but I trusted you, and I was right to do so. What are we waiting for? Let's head down to the common room before Filch starts prowling the corridors!"
  12. When I woke up the next morning, my head felt like it had been hit with a brick! Everything that Draco had told me last night came rushing back to me so fast that it actually hurt! I wasn't just shocked, I was confused. I couldn't understand why my mother, Bellatrix Lestrange, hadn't even mentioned Draco's father being a Deatheater to me! I'll admit that she had already informed me about Draco's father placing the diary in Ginny's cauldron, but she hadn't told me that he was a Deatheater! I couldn't describe how angry I felt, did that mean my mother didn't trust me? My thoughts were interrupted by Pansy throwing her pillow in my face. "Come on Jessica! We need to go down to breakfast quickly to get our new time tables!" "Alright, I'm coming."
  13. I didn't know what time it was, but we must have been rather late. Most of the school were already eating, and had their timetables clenched in their hands. I sat down next to Draco, and Pansy spotted one of her other friends, who she then sat next to. "Morning Draco." I tried to sound as cheerful as I could, without sounding stupid. "Morning. I took your time table as well as mine, I guessed that you'd probably be late." "Thanks! Looks like were going to be with the Gryffindors a lot this year, we've even got Care of Magical Creatures with them!" " Yeah,we've got Divination first though, that should be rather different! I bet the teacher is crazy!" "Maybe Draco, maybe."
  14. It didn't take long for us to finish breakfast, so Draco and I left Pansy with her friend, then started to make our way towards the Divination classroom. However, just as I was about to step outside the Great Hall, someone grabbed my arm. "Jessica! Can I ask you something?" I turned around to see Harry Potter's bright red face beaming at me. He seemed rather nervous about something...
  15. So, that's the end of part three! Again, I apologise for this part being extremely late, I've been really busy recently. :-( I made a slight mistake with the results, so basically, they're sort of a sneak peek of certain things that will be happening in the next part!
