  1. KATIE P.O.V------------------- My nose crinkled from the smell of rotten baby diapers and throw up. I don't think that's a common smell to wake up to. I sat up and saw Tammy sitting down next to where Leo was taking a nap. "Hey. Nice nap?" she asked me. I nodded. I was WAY to tired for this. I wasn't used to being on quests. Well, actually.. This is my first one. Usually, the Demeter cabin stays at Camp, tending the gardens and spending time in the Strawberry Fields. I never thought I'd be where I am now. I guess, you can say I'm pretty proud of myself. Sometimes, things you never thought would happen to you, actually do happen. "So, by any chance, do you know what time it is?" I asked Tammy. She folded up her sleeve, where a white watch was wrapped around her wrist. "It's 5:47am." she replied. "June 7th?" I asked. Tammy nodded and that's when Leo let out a high pitch scream.
  2. "What! Where?!" Tammy shot up her feet and looked around quickly. In front of Leo was an old man who looked thousands of years old. "Shh! Do you WANT to attract more monsters? Honestly." The old man's voice was nothing you would have thought it would be like. First of all, it was female. And, second it sounded very teenage-like. To be honest, I jumped a little. But, can you blame me? A random old guy comes up to you and starts talking with the voice of a teenage girl. "Um. Not to sound rude.. Eh, sir? Ma'am? Anyways! Who are you?" I asked holding up my knife. Leo was still sitting down in shock. Meanwhile, Tammy was probably checking her hearing due to Leo's very-girly scream. The old man stretch out his arms as if he just took a long afternoon nap. "Not your mom that's for sure." He told us. We all stared at him. "OKAY! Well, FINE! I'll tell you, stop staring at me! I'm Apollo!" he said. It's a bit strange to see an old man in the sewers. Even if the guy was a god. "The Sun god?!" Tammy said in shock. Apollo gave her an offended look. "And, other things too! Like, music, poetry.. Oh! I have an AMAZING haiku you should hear! I-" Tammy cut him off. "Yes, I'm sure you have AMAZING haiku's, Sir. But, why are you here? No offense." she told him. He thought for a moment. Then turned towards Leo. "Why are you sitting on the floor? I can't tell you why I'm here if you're sitting on the floor. This is the SEWERS for crying out loud. What are you? A rodent?!" Apollo explained dramatically. Leo stood off and brushed the dirt off. "And, um. Why are you here?" He asked.
  3. "To give you a ride towards where you need to go! As the prophecy says, about the shadow and light and whatever. But, of course not an exact ride. Just- okay. Can you turn around for a sec, all of you? I need to get out of this.. Form." He explained. All three of us turned around and waited. I saw a bright yellow and orange light that was reflected on the waters of the sewer. "Okay, you can turn around now." he said. When we all turn back around, we obviously did NOT see an old man, no more. How can I put this in a non-girl-ish way..

  5. -----------TAMMY P.O.V--------- APOLLO WAS HOT! And, I'm not even over-doing it. And, yes he was the Sun god. But, he was just physically attractive. He had beach-blonde hair, eyes that changed several different colors. He also wore swimming shorts- which was rather odd, considering we were underground in the sewers. And, just a regular t-shirt, with flip-flops. Apollo was also fairly tall. "I.. Um.." Katie muttered. Even Leo was speechless. And, me? Well, I was probably staring at him for a fair amount of time. "I'm flattered that two pretty girls and a mechanic notice me so, well. But, this is no time to flirt!" He explained. Leo rubbed his eyes. "So, where are you dropping us off exactly?" he asked. Apollo grinned and took out a pair of car keys. "To that stone door Otrera was talking about, you have the decoder right? We'll just take the route the easy way." he told us. Leo scratched his head. "Why are you helping us?" And, come to think of it, that IS an interesting question to think of. "Agh! Too many questions! But, I'm helping you because the campers have FINALLY build a statue of ME in your little camp!" Apollo said in triumph. The three of us decided not to argue. It was a free ride out of the sewers, and it was offered by an extremely attractive god. "Great! So, buckle up!" Apollo pressed a button with the car keys. I looked around for a sign of a car. Instead, golden mist shaped like a seatbelt, went across my body. It made a CLICK! sound and it went black for about a second. The next thing I knew it, I was standing in front of stone doors. Although, we were still in the sewers, I got a feeling we won't be here no longer. Leo and Katie stood on either side of me. But, Apollo was already gone. "Hey, he left a note.." Leo said as he picked up a folded piece of paper. " 'Good Luck!' " he read aloud.
  6. Leo crumpled the paper and threw it on the ground. "Leo! Stop littering! Do you even realize how that affects the Earth?!" Katie shrieked. Leo just grinned. "Chill. It's the sewers Mother Nature. It won't make a difference." He said. And, with that, it started a fight between the two. "GUYS! Can you two stop? We're right in front of the doors. Now, can someone hand me the decoder?" I asked. Katie took off her backpack and ran her hand inside. She took a folded piece of paper wrapped with purple string. She handed it to me carefully. I took off the string and unfolded the paper. Written on it, was a bunch of lines that seemed to be going downwards. There were several different symbols, and right below it was either a letter or a number. It seemed easy enough. But, I've learned that some things seem to look easier than what's actuallly hidden beneath it. Who knows what's behind these doors. Monsters? Lions? Evilness? An angry leprechaun? Who knows. I stared at the door. The symbols were the same as the ones on the paper. Just without the letters and numbers. The symbols on the door was going downwards and was carved into the stone doors. Between the stone blocks, moss was growing out. It seems ancient. Yet, again.. It probably is. I wonder why it's in the sewer though.
  7. --------------- Now, getting that thing open was probably the most easiest thing I've ever done. That and climbing trees. But, that's another story. Basically, you just figure out what letter or number the symbol means, and once you figured out the whole sentence or whatever, say it and BOOM. It's open. "As life goes elsewhere." I said loudly. The stone doors opened and I almost got blinded by the light. The three of us walked in and found ourselves looking at a completely different world. Definetly not the sewers, and also not the modern world. It looked like a fairy kingdom in my opinion. Soft moss was covered everywhere. Unusual flowers that probably wasn't supposed to grow in the mortal world. Different animals were roaming around, the sky was a light shade of pink and coral. "Is that a Dodo bird?" Leo asked. He pointed to a strange looking bird walking around. Katie laughed. "It's beautiful!" She said smiling. "What? The bird?" Leo asked. Katie punched his arm softly. "No, you idiot. The world around us." She said dreamily. Honestly, it was very beautiful. Even the air smelled amazing. Like fresh baked bread. "Indeed, Ms. Gardner. I'm Ananke, goddess of destiny and faith."
