  1. Ok, so you are a 14 year old girl, and your name is Madison. You do cheerleading and volleyball and girls basketball. You have a twin brother named Cody who plays basketball and football and your best friend is a girl named Liberty who does soccer and volleyball and softball. Ok?
  2. On the bus to school, your friend Liberty gets on sits by you. She asks you if you're ready to hear awesome news. You say "Umm, I guess." And she says "I have a boyfriend!" And you look at her with your jaw dropped and say "What? Who is he?" and she goes "Well, my boyfriend is... Nick!" And you scream "WHAT?!?!?!? NICK?!?!?" And she says "Calm down! I don't need the entire world knowing! Plus, he's super cute with his black hair, green eyes, and cute dimples!" You stare at her in a deer-in-headlights kind of way. Then you say "He's weak!" And Liberty says "He plays FOOTBALL!" You say "He's ugly!" Liberty goes "Every single girl in school has a crush on him!" You roll your eyes as the bus driver stops and lets you off to go to school.
  3. So you walk in and open your locker. When you close it, you see your friend Rosa. You say hi and she says "Hey, Madison, did you see the new guy?" You say "No, what's his name?" Rosa says "His name is Justin." "Cool." You say. Then you head for 1st period as the bell rings. A couple more periods go by and it turns out that you have last period (Science) with Justin. You walk in, take your seat and as you take out the homework you had last night, Justin walks up to you and asks if the seat next to you was taken. You look at him and say no and he asks if he could sit there and you say sure. Justin has dirty blonde hair and deep blue eyes. The science teacher, Mrs.Miller walks into the classroom and goes over last night's homework. Then she says you have to do an experiment with the person sitting next to you. So, you and Justin finish the experiment and then the bell rings. You and Justin say bye and pack up your stuff and get ready to go home.
  4. So, you go home only to see your twin brother Cody playing video games with his friend Michael. You know Michael so you quickly walk into the kitchen before he sees you. You take out your homework and finish it in a half hour. You then go and take a long bath. You get in and as soon as you are entirely in the tub, your legs turn into a beautiful gold tail. You cover your mouth just before you were about to scream and think "How is this possible!?!" You get out and dry off and change into your clothes again. You grab your mom's arm and pull her into your room. You explain to her what happened and she says "Maddie, that's part of the genes on my side of the family. All the women on my side of the family are like that! It's okay!" You look at her with worry and say "But how? How are we part fish and not the rest of the world?" And your mom says "Well, a long time ago, your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-etc. grandmother was on the Mayflower and she ate this special fish and a couple months later, she got pregnant and during her pregnancy, she found out she was getting sicker because of that fish she ate and she had her baby but died several months later. The baby was a girl. But before she died, she washed the baby and when the baby was in water, her legs turned into a tail, and from then on, she washed the baby in private and never told anyone about it. So, let's keep this a secret, ok?" "Ok," you say.
  5. So the next day, you go to school and see Liberty, and right after you say hi, you almost blurt out that you're a mermaid. You cover your mouth and blush. Then, as you close your locker and say bye to Liberty, Michael comes up to you and says hey. You say hey back. Then he says "You look SO familiar to me..." and you say "Well, kind of, yeah. You're friends with my brother Cody right?" and he says "You're related to him? He's awesome, and if you're related, that means you're awesome too!" "Yeah, I guess," you say as you slightly smile. Then the bell rings and he smiles and says bye. "Dang, he's cute, with his brown hair and dark brown eyes and amazing personality. Plus, he plays football and basketball..." You think.
  6. After the day ends (it's Friday) and you all go home, Liberty asks who you like and you say...
  7. You go home and after you finish your homework, your friend Zoe who lives accross the street calls and asks if you could spend. You ask your parents if it's ok with them and the say yes. You pack your bag and go over there and come back Saturday at noon.
  8. So yeah, that's the end of part 1. Hope you liked it!
