    Well, I used to cut infrequently and not too deep. I tried to stop, and it lasted 3 months, but a few weeks ago I had a massive relapse. So now I have a two inch scar/scab/wound on my ankle and various smaller nicks all over. I don't consider my SH a problem, in fact, I enjoy it. It just feels really good. Sometimes, I'll paint with the blood, and sometimes I'll rub salt in the wound. I told a very close friend (who used to do it), and I promised her I'd never do it again. If I did, she'd go get help. But really, this is the last thing I need. So I can't even talk about it with her. Can anyone relate to this?

    I can relate, but it's really not a good thing.

    Self harming isn't the best way to deal with your problems. Could you explain why you do it? Is it because of issues or just you enjoy hurting yourself?

    Honestly, it's my folks. They put a lot of pressure on me-in general. School and whatever. And they blow up over the littlest things! One time I overheard them talking about how much they hate me because I'm lazy, greedy, expensive, stupid, and will end up living in a cardboard box.

    Have you ever tried talking to a guidance councilor or something? They might be able to help with your parents and you don't have to tell them about cutting.

    I probably should bring it up to my gc. It would be hard though. She doesn't know about any of my problems. She probably thinks I have a perfect life with minimal stress. It would be a side of me she's never seen.

    Not only that, but the cutting might come up, then she'd have to tell my parents...

    Nowadays, it's not just cause I'm upset. I just like doing it; it's addictive and fun.

    Don't cut. Just smoke weed instead.

    Literally my answer to everyone with a vice or emotional issues.

    I don't think fun would be quite the right word.

    Sara;

    been there, done that. And even when I was at the top of my game about hurting myself, I never claimed it was fun.

    Seriously, scene freaks like you are part of the reason I can't stand kids these days. My prescription to you is to climb down off your cross, build a bridge and get over it you shallow, mediocre cunt.

    Sara, you shouldn't cut yourself. Seriously, if you're doing this to get attention it's just going to make your friends, family, and others not care anymore. One of my best friends in high school used to cut herself. I don't know if she did it for attention or because her boyfriend hurt her really bad but it's just stupid to cut for enjoyment or for whatever is bothering you. Take the anger and sadness out by having fun, talking to a therapist, or taking a kickboxing class. There are other ways to relieve stress...
