I managed a smile. "I will be, once we're safe."

I put my arms around him, holding him tight. "Don't ever tell me to run again."

"I can't make any promises."

"Fine, but even if you tell me to, I'm not going to."

I put my hand on her cheek. "Don't risk yourself for me."

I put my hand over his. "You shouldn't risk yourself for me."

"But I will." I stoked her face.

"And so will I."

I smiled. Something in her voice told me there was no arguing with her.

I forced a smile back up at him. -

Her smile seemed.... Different, it wasn't her usual smile. "You okay?" -
"Yah, I'm fine." I said quietly.

"Are you sure?" I wasn't the prying sort, but I was worried for her.
