  1. Six teens are sent letters to go on a trip, alone. Three boys and Three girls. There journey turns to mystery as misterious things happen. Each thing has a note later found. They all are signed by Chancer. Who might be Chancer just by the name?
  2. They got out of the limo and studied the hotel they would be staying in. "I think we should sue them for choosing Country Inn." Silver said breaking the silence. "Hey it could be worse. Like a motel." Mike tried to settle her down. She didn't take the hint. "Is that a joke or something? I am use to beach front property, excuse you. Besides, we have to share a room us girls." "Ha. Boys get their own room. Na na na na na na!" Jake bragged. "What kind of idiot are you? We share a room just like the girls! Liar." Willen said. Sam just sighed. She was glad she didn't have an input. This is better than a cottage, Sam thought. April finally spoke up, "Hey, guys, can we go in? I'm tired from all that traveling." Willed looked at her thoughtfully. "I think we can all agree. Am I right?" Everyone nodded and walked in. Sam hung back and looked at the sunset. "Foolish people." She said under her breathe and walked in too.
  3. They walked to the registration counter. "Hello and welcome to Country Inn. How may I help you?" "Stuff it woman. The name we're under is Shantagy." Silver snapped. "There is a reservation for six teenagers and you are in rooms 201 and 203 on the second floor. Go and leave me to myself of thinking how rude you are!" Sam looked down, and again hung back. The rest went to their rooms on the second floor. "I'm sorry for her acting like that. I think you should be appreciated for your work." "That's so sweet. Why are you nice?" "Because I believe everyone is equal. They don't deserve to live." Sam glared at the hallway they had left to go to their rooms. She didn't realize Jake was eavsdropping around the corner. Jake covered his mouth. He heard foot steps and ran to another elevator in front of a different hall. "Come on, come on!" He was pressing the button labeled 2 rapidly. Mean while Sam said good bye and went in the elevator. She thought about the invintation. The doors opened. Sam peered down one hallway and in the next she saw Jake running to the hotel room. Jake saw her looking and froze. Sam replayed the scene of talking to Gabreille, the registration lady, and remembered seeing a black lock of hair.
  4. Sam rushed to her room and closed the door. "And you are late because?" Silver demanded immediately. "Give her a break! Girl ya gotta have a good explanation. We found a letter taped to our door. We have to a riding stable tomorrow at ten 'o clock am." April had a hint of anger in her tone. "My reason is none of your business. I'm just tired. Which bed is mine?" There were to queen beds on the left and a double on the right. "The double. Ya snooze ya lose." Silver said plainly. Sam shrugged and dropped her stuff at the end of the bed. April and Silver climbed in their beds and fell fast asleep. All the lights were off, and still Sam couldn't sleep. She got up and slid open the sliding glass door. A warm breeze welcomed her to sit on a porch chair. Sam gazed at the stars in the deep blue night sky. "I'd like to live here." She said quietly. "Me too." Said another voice. It startled Sam. It was Jake. "What are you doing out here?" Sam asked, not so quietly. "Same as you. Couldn't sleep." He turned his attention to the motel next door to our hotel. "And how would you know?" He just smirked.
  5. Sam disaproved of the way he was acting. "Okay, what's up? How do you know what's on in there?" She pointed towards the room the hotel room where Silver and April were sleeping. "Hey. What can I say? I have good hearing." He replied. Sam stood up and walked to the edge closest to Jake. "Look. I know you have something you're not telling me." "Well, then I guess that will help you lose concentration and fall asleep." He got up and went back inside. Sam turned around and muttered, "I really don't like him." Suddenly, a hand grabbed her shirt collar and pulled. "HELP!!! HELP ME!!!" Sam screamed she was choking. Jake ran out and saw the hand let go. "Ohmigoodness. You could have died!" Jake jumped to the porch where Sam was struggling to breathe. He picked her up and brought her to her bed. Sam only saw blurs of darkness and heard evil laughing. She went unconsious.
  6. "She should have been a sleep already. It's all her fault." Silver said. "But what if she was going to be killed in her sleep?" April questioned. "Then at least I would have gotten more sleep." Silver crossed her arms and looked away. April rolled her eyes. Willen came up behind her and hung his arm around her. "Hey, girl. What'so the big fuss?" April sighed. "Sam was almost murdered last night. Jake saved her life." Will shook his head. "People just don't understand that certain people need to live and others have to die."
  7. Mike and Jake were both staring at Sam when she opened her eyes. "What?" The name 'Chancer' was written on her shirt collar. "I think we got a little visit by Chancer. Whoever that is." Mike said. "Yah. Did I mention there was a knock on the door during the night? Because there was. It wasn't anyone who wanted to show their face. They left a note that read, 'Sam was close to death. I chose her because she is delicate and can't fight back. She could be my victum, or someone else will take her place... ~Chancer~' that's kinda scary. Considering-" a scream and then a thump sounded. The boys and girls rushed out of the rooms. "Gabriel! She... She... She'so been murdered!" Sam stuttered. The woman lay on the floor with a knife sticking out. There was another note on the wall. It was written in blood. 'Now all of you die next! -Chancer-' "Well he or she does take chances." Jake said. And those words hung in the air like the fear and tension.
