Recap: You had a flashback about your parents death and you and Ed were walking towards your bus when you saw....

  1. As Ed and I neared our bus, I saw Hanna and a big group of people standing in front of the bus. She was now wearing shorts, sneakers, and a running shirt. She smiled when she saw us and walked towards me. "What do you want?" I asked her sharply. "It's time for me to beat you senseless in front of everyone." Hanna replied happily. "You couldn't beat me if I had both of my hands tied behind my back and I was blindfolded." I told her. Hanna's wicked smile continued to stay on her face as she was a foot away from me. I met her intense glare and noticed something that I didn't notice before. She still had her dark brown eyes, but I could now see black flecks in them. Dark Side eyes. 'She's from the Dark Side!' I yelled at Ed in my head (me: haha that rhymed XD.... Now back to the story....) as I blocked Hanna's hand from hitting my face.
  2. 'So are they.' Ed replied, his voice strained. I barely had enough time to see that at least half of the group, so about 20 people, had surrounded Ed and me. "We need to get them away from the other students!" Ed yelled. Hanna then pulled out a sword and managed to cut my cheek. I tapped my ring and my own blazing gold sword came into my hands. Black against Gold. Night against Day. Dark against Light. A fight to the death. Our swords clashed as we slowly drew then away from the frightened students and into the forest. I focused my attention back to my fight with Hanna. Her sword was swinging wildly. I was a good sword fighter, but Hanna was better. She was a good hand fighter, but I was better. I knew that Hanna would win unless I managed to make our sword fight into a hand fight. Storm clouds rolled in and we've, at most, killed 10 people. Lightning flashed and rain poured as I finally managed to knock Hanna's sword from her hands and send us into a hand fight. My cloths were all torn and I was bleeding. My shoes were no longer on my feet.
  3. Hanna tried to punch my face. I quickly grabbed it and twisted her arm behind her back. Then, I ran her into a tree. I turned around and saw a guy running towards me with a sword in his hands. I did a high kick which knocked his sword out of his hands. I then punched him in the nose and he fell.... Dead. I elbowed a girl in the cheek before she could kill Ethan with her knife. She turned on me as thunder rumbled. She threw one of her knives at my face and I just barely dodged it as it implanted itself into a tree behind me. The girl flew back into a tree with a sickening thud, like a gust of wind blew her back. I looked at Ethab and his eyes were different. They were still brown, but they now had flecks of white in them. His power is Wind. I turned around and saw two guys coming at me. I punched one in his nose so hard, that he dropped dead, because the bone in his nose hit his brain. I grabbed the other guy's hand and then kicked him in the stomach, making him double over in pain.
  4. I was about to elbow him in the back when someone came up behind me and grabbed my arms behind my back. "Stop!" Hanna yelled and the fighting stopped. I was struggling to get out of the guys grasp as he forced me into the middle of the clearing. I looked around the clearing and saw that my siblings were by each other. Their clothing all torn, they were covered in dirt, and they had cuts on their faces and arms, but not as much as me. When they saw me, they took a step forward but Hanna stopped them by raising her sword to my throat. "Take one more step, and I'll kill her." She threatened, "And don't even try using your powers. They don't work on me. That's my power." She added. Thunder rumbled and rain continued to drench us. A rustle came from the bushes and twigs snapped as someone approached us.
  5. "Go check it out." Hanna ordered someone, pressing her sword harder against my throat. A girl ran towards the bushes to see what it was. Two seconds later, there was a surprised scream follwed by Ashton coming out with a sword to the girl's neck. "Let her go!" Hanne demanded. I was strangely calm, even with her sword digging into my skin. "A trade? Alana for your sister, Londan?" Ashton asked. I felt the guy's grip loosen on my arms a little as he forced me to my knees, which made me a little mad, but I didn't show it. "Let her go!" Hanna demanded more fiercely. Before Ashton could say anything back, lightning hit the tree, and made the guy let go of my arms. I spun my leg out and made him fall. Hanna came running at me. Just before she reached could reach me, the lightning struck again. This time, it hit me.
  6. The pain was excruciating and it was so bright around me. So I did what any other person would do.... I screamed. It must've lasted for about five seconds before I sank to my knees and fell down on my stomach. "Is she dead?" Some girl asked after I didn't move or blink for a while. Everything seemed dark and shaded. "Of course she's dead. She hasn't moved and her eyes are completely black." Hanna replied. "No they're not, look." Anna said as my vision started turning back to normal and my strength started coming back. They all just started at me, dumbfounded. 'Well are you going to help me up or not?' I asked, sounding annoyed. Ed was the first to move, followed by Anna, and lastly Ethan. "It's no use. She's dead. No kne could've survived that." Hanna said. "Well I did." I told her as Ed and Ethan picked me up by my arms.
  7. "That's impossible. Your eyes were completely black and you weren't moving." Hanna said. "They're not black now and I am obviously moving." I pointed out as I finally had enough strength to stand up on my own and lift my head to meet her intense glare. When she saw my face, she had a look of confusion and surprise come across her face. "What is it?" I asked Anna as I turned my head towards her direction. She had the same look as Hanna's. I swept my head around to face Ed and Ethan, their faces did the same thing. I looked towards Ashton, his face had the same look when he saw my face. "Will someone please tell me what's happening?" I exclaimed. Finally, Ethan cleared his throat and said, "Alana, you got your power." "What is it?" I asked eagerly.
  8. "Well, your eyes are still deep blue but now, it looks like they have a lightning bolt in each eye." Ed described awkwardly. "Now you really are the Lightning Girl." Ethan joked. "This is not the right time for joking, Ethan." I told him. "Why not?" He barely had enough time to ask before I knocked him to the ground and a knife went over my head. "That's why." I told him as I quickly got up and pointed my hand at the girl who threw the knife. Lightning exploded from my hand, hit the girl, and sent her flying back into a tree. Of course, she was already dead before she hit the tree. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and I turned to see what it was. Just as I turned around, something cold clasped around my wrist. I looked down and saw a thin metal bracelet around my right wrist. I studied it more closely and realized that it was a Deactivator. Deactivators take away your power as long as you are wearing them. That also means that I can't talk to Anna, Ed, or Ethan telepathically.

  10. Once I looked back up, I noticed that some more people from the Dark Side have come, and we were surrounded. "Split!" Ed yelled. It was a command used by people from the Light Side. When someone yells it, you have to run away because there are too many people from the Dark Side and you only say it if no one else can use their powers. That means that Anna, Ethan, Ed, and Ashton must all have Deactivators on them. I obeyed the command and fought my way through Dark Side people. As soon as I broke through their line, I ran into the forest, knowing that I may never see my family again. I heard footsteps behind me and I knew that some people from the Dark Side were chasing me. I had to loose them somehow. The trees were thinning out so I knew that I must be close to the edge of the forest. I broke through the tree line and almost....
