  1. "Well do we tell them?" Skye asks. "Not all of them," I say. They look at me waiting for an explanation, obviously not understanding. "We have to tell someone who we can actually trust." I say. "Wait, hold up! I thought we can trust them? All of them. I mean look at what they have done to us," Skye says. "We can not trust all of them. Look at what they have done to us?! They have done nothing but trouble! They messed up all of us! Dani got shocked! They have hired a tutor to translate for them if Tammy wants to talk to them! The old us would never let that happen! Look at us! We are falling apart..." Paige states. She is right though. Every single word. I can not believe we agreed to this. I can not believe it got this far; but it is too late to back out. "I know you are all thinking that I'm right, which I am, but it is too late to turn around. But it is not too late to make a difference. So girls, who do we trust the most?" Paige says.
  2. We walked in the living room to find all of them there. I am pretty sure they are even in the same positions. "Mason can we talk to you?" Brit asks. The guys have worried expressions, except for Mason. "You are not going to kill me right? You get moody," he says while getting up. They calm down and even laugh. Brit snickered at him and turn to lead him away from the rest of the guys. "So what's up with all the secret stuff? It is like a secret spy movie with too much drama!" Mason says when we get there. "When we were at Kmart, we saw somebody." Brit starts. "Our principle." Spencer continues. "She knows." Hanna finishes.
  3. "We have to tell the other guys," Mason says. "No! We can't!" Spencer shouts. "Why not?" He asks. "Because they'll freak out and won't even let us walk around the house alone! That is if we even stay here!" Spencer explains. "Please, don't tell," Spencer whispers. "Fine, I won't tell. But if that happens again, tell me then we'll figure out something. From now on, you're not allowed to leave the house alone." Mason agrees. "What about our hoop? It is still really boring here, and if we can't leave here alone then we're gonna lose it without a hoop!" Kyla says. "We go together. All of us." He says and left to go get the guys.
  4. We decided not to go to Kmart, but instead a sports store. "OMG! This one is PERFECT! What do you think?" Kyla exclaims. She is right. That hoop is perfect! It was one of those hoops where you had to drill it to the ground, which were the kind we only played on because otherwise we kinda break it within two days and the hoop lands on someone. It could go up 10 feet, like all other hoops. It had padding around the pole with their logo on it; the gorilla. The backboard was clear, which I liked and also had the gorilla on it. The rim was perfectly red and the net was newly white. We all loved it! When I said 'all', I really mean the girls. "Yeah. The hoop may be perfect but not so much the price," Gavin says. "Please!" We beg. We continued to beg until.... "Alright. Fine. You can have it," they say. "Thank you thank you thank you!" we say. "Can we also get the basketball?" I ask. "Not for $30. We don't grow money on trees." Gavin says. "Believe me we've tried." Evan says. "PLEASE!!! We need THIS one! Please!" We continue to beg. There is no way we are coming out of here without this basketball. We continued to beg until they realized that they weren't going to win. When we left the store I said "Thank you" once more before we got in the car.
  5. We arrived to the house and the boys got the basketball set out of the car. Well off of the car. They insisted on setting it up and building it because they said they didn't want us to get hurt. We've this so many times before. 13 times, actually. So really, we didn't need them. Every time we had to set up another one, none of us got hurt or anything. It was quite fun watching them try to set it up. None of them knew how; really, they were hurting themselves. "Can we show you how to build this now?!" Kyla asks. "No, we've got it!" Mason shouts back. "How long until they give up?" Savannah asks us. "I give them 10 minutes," I say. "Fair enough," Hanna says. I was right. 10 minutes later-13 to be exact-they gave up and let us do it. It took us 21 minutes and 3 seconds. They timed us. "Wanna play a game?" I ask them. "We'll let you start, sugar plum," Jason says passing the ball to me. I caught it. "Oh, and don't worry, we'll go easy on you," Jason says getting into position.
  6. After 27 minutes-when we were half way though, meaning it was half time break-the score was 46-13. We were dominating them, as expected. Truth was, we were playing easy and they were playing their hardest. If we weren't, they wouldn't have 13 points and our score would be much higher. That is why our school team has been undefeated since we joined. "So how's 'going easy' working for you?" I ask smirking. "Well actually, it's working quite great. See, the point was that we would let you win so you wouldn't feel bad," Jason says. I roll my eyes at him. "This is not winning, this is being defeated. Don't worry though, you are now added to our list of losers," Lucy says then walks away. "Oh, it's game on now!" Jason says then left to go huddle with his teammates about a new plan to try beat us. After they yelled "BREAK!" Landon gave the ball to Jason and Jason gave to me. "You can start again," he says. "You sure about that? We all know how that ended up," I ask with a serious face. The girls laughed and I broke my poker face. Jason got into position ignoring the comment. "Don't worry, we'll go easy on you," I say to him while dribbling the ball. After we checked, I passed the ball to Hanna and she was holding the ball like her life depended on it. Which was weird, because usually we had easier grips on the ball so that the opposing team had a chance. Yet, Han did not make one travel as she made her way to the hoop. She dunked it and hung onto the hoop for a few extra seconds. "You cheated!" Hanna yelled walking over to Hayden, once when she jumped down from the hoop. "You used your powers to try and steal the ball away from me!" She continues to yell at him. "I know of no rule that says you cannot use your own powers," Hayden says defensively. "Well I say you can't!" She says. "And we're going to listen to you?" He says. "Why not? We listen to you," Hanna replies back. I thought that was kinda rude, but it is true. "Look, we know you're bad, but there is no need to your powers into this game," Winter says calmly. "Wait, no. They aren't bad, they just cannot play basketball for their life," Blue says. Winter and Blue high-five each other. "Alright, that's it! No using powers at all. Play fair. Understood?" I say before the guys can respond. "Yeah," everybody says. Well almost everybody. "No, I think we should play with powers. Han just proved that we can still win when you use your powers," Spence says. We all considered this for a few minutes. Spence was right. I mean, and still we could win and it won't be embarrassing for them. "Fine. I think we should listen to Spence and play with powers," I say. Soon, everybody agrees and we start the game with our powers.
  7. The game was...quite interesting. It was hard to play when the 'air' is grabbing that ball. But we did it. We may have looked stupid while we played but we did it. We won. 78-67. "How does it feel to lose? Even though it happens a lot, since you guys are losers," Lucy says. "Shut up. You only won by a bit," Bradley says. "If you ain't first, you're last," she says. That reminded me of the time we went Go-karting and I came in first because I spun everybody out. That was a fun time. It's sad to think that I'll never be able to go again. Everybody was throwing comebacks at each other about the game. "Don't worry, we can always go Go-karting, how about today?" Hayden whispered in my ear then smirked and left. It took me a while to remember that he can read minds. How did you do that? I asked in my mind hoping he would still be there. You're an open book. He said in my mind. I looked over at him and saw him getting his stuff and still wearing that smirk of his. Can you read everybody else's? Well not the guys until they let me but most of the girls. But all of them will let me see their memories. Okay, I did not know he could do that. You can do that? Yes I can. But you are the only one who won't let me look at their memories. For some reason you keep it locked in the back of your mind. I don't think you can even look at them. There was an obvious reason to that. And of course I can see my own memories, I just don't like to. That's why I keep them there. Shocker! None of them have been through what I have been through. Even Savannah. She got it way easier than I did. I know what you're going through. I understand you. And that's not just cause I'm in your mind and can see everything. Babe, if you ever need somebody to talk to, then I'm here for you. I always will be. That has probably been the sweetest thing anyone has said to me in these past few months. He also called me Babe. Does that mean anything? Does he like me? Awwww thanks! That is the sweetest thing anyone has said to me in these few months. I saw him chuckle. You're welcome. I really meant it though. And no, babe does not mean anything. I was saying that as a friend. I feel like I can trust him. Maybe I'll tell him about what happened. I saw him make eye contact with Landon and I wondered if Landon could read minds too. Stupid! Of course they can. I wonder if Hayden is still here. Hayden? Are you still here? A minute later he replied. Of course I'm here. I was asking Landon something. What did you ask him? I was curious in what they were talking about. If we could go Go-karting. Wait, you saw that? Yep. You are great at Go-karting! That was funny when there was that guy in front of you and you were in second place, so you speed up to him, spun him out, then finished in first. That guy was so mad. Yeah, and you want to go Go-karting with me. It wasn't a question, it was more of a statement. Yes! It would be so much fun. He answered anyway. I'm betting Mason is going to prank someone, make everyone lose, then win. That would be a bet he would win. Yeah, then Landon is going to freak. I say with a bit of fear. I mean, he really doesn't like them. We all saw what happened when he got mad. That would draw a lot of attention to the public. But I didn't show my fear. As long as your there, then he'll be fine. What do you mean? I asked him. The girls had told me that he totally like me but I just told them that we were friends and that's it. For God's sake! He shocked me! He really likes you. And that was when I kicked him out of my mind and didn't let him back in.
  8. Everybody agreed to go Go-karting even though we thought it was random. Except for me, Hayden, and Landon. When we were in the garage, picking the cars, Hayden was the one to group everybody. Of course he grouped me with Landon. We took a blue convertible Mustang. We drove with the roof open, the music loud, and our shades on. The car stopped at the light and Landon turned down the music. I didn't look at him. "Dani," he tries. "Yeah?" I say and still don't look at him. I'm trying to get Hayden back in my mind. I could really use his support. "Are you mad at me?" Landon asks. Truthfully maybe I was. But just a bit. "For what?" "Well you know.." I did know. And I was a bit mad. "No," I say lying. I really hope he can't tell. "Then what's wrong?" He asks softly. "Nothing," I say. Oh c'mon, c'mon, c'mon. Hayden... I say impatiently in my head. I know you can hear me. So please help.. "Are you okay then?" Landon asks me. "Yep. Perfectly fine," I lie again. I really hope he can't tell. Oh for God's sake! The poor kid is trying to get your attention! At least look at him! And he can tell that you're lying. That I did not know. Hayden, you're here! I exclaim in my mind. Of course I'm here. I was seeing how far you would go but then I felt bad. But you know he really cares about you. I did know that. But I felt like being stubborn. Then why did he almost kill me? Don't take it the wrong way, if it were anyone of us, then I'm sure he would've killed us. I believed that. I willed myself not to look over at him. Don't look, don't look, don't look, don't look. I say to myself but I'm sure Hayden was still there and reading my thoughts. Next thing I knew, I was looking at him. How his muscular right arm was on the wheel, how his blond hair looked extra blonde today, how he loose but fitted blue shirt matched his eyes. Wait, he's wearing his black square sunglasses, so how did I know his exact eye color? And that it matched his shirt? The car stopped again at the traffic light and he caught me staring at him. He smiled the most heart melting smile ever and how eyes locked. I don't remember putting my sunglasses-which looked almost identical to Landon's-on top of my head. Or that Landon slid his down his nose, but we did. I dropped his gaze and looked out the window. The car started moving again. Looks likes somebody likes him back. I totally forgot that Hayden was still there. Shut up, I do not. Oh yes you do! But don't worry, when we get there I'll make sure you guys are paired together again and that you have to share the same Go-kart. Oh and some private time alone. Even though those all sounded great, I couldn't fall for Landon. Yeah, no. First off, who put you in charge? Second, I would not like to share a Go-kart with that slow ass driver. Third, I'm defiantly single and not ready to mingle. Why, what happened? Hayden actually sounded concerned. I don't think I'm ready to tell him, just yet. Hayden, I'm grateful for you being here and supporting me/sorta being an ass, but I'm not going to tell you right now. I'll tell you later. K? Fine I get it. I'll talk to you later, bye. Bye. I turned the music back up and saw Landon look over me and grin. I gave him a small smile and continued to look out the window. Until I heard a strange but familiar beeping sound. It was a faint 3 beeps. Apparently Landon heard it too, so he pulled over and turned the music off. It sound like it was coming from my purse. I exchange uneasy glances at Landon. I look into my purse. "Oh s---."
  9. That's it. Thanks for reading. Part 10 will be out soon (hopefully). Bye.
