  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. “All hail Devin Henderson, Son of Athena!” Chiron bellowed. The campers still seemed in shock after Percy’s claiming but the Athenian kids managed to rush over to Devin to welcome and congratulate him. As you searched Devin’s face, you  weren't quite sure what he was feeling; shock, disbelief, or simply relief. You shot him a reassuring smile and he seemed to loosen up. Beside for the Athenians, everyone was standing around surprised, some even still subconsciously kneeling. “I take it this doesn’t happen often?”  you whispered to the girl next to you. A strand of her sandy brown hair almost smacked you in the face, as the wind blew it around, showing off her waves. When the girl turned and looked at you, you couln’t quite tell what age she was, between her cute baby-like smile and her seemingly all-knowing forest green eyes.
  2. “Of course not,” the girl told you quietly, “The last time a child of the Big Three arrived, it didn’t exactly end well, at least that’s what I’ve heard.” You could tell by just listening to her that she was shy and soft-spoken. “Oh,” you managed to squeak out, as the girl casually started stroking a flower you were sitting by. “I’m Camellia, by the way,” she muttered as you struggled to hear what she was saying. “I’m Vio-" you began but she cut you off. “Oh I know who you are," she said dreamily, and started stroking another flower and quietly whispered to it, so you decided to leave her alone. Talking to her almost made you fall asleep, but not because she was boring; it was her voice that did it. That soft, yet dreamy and airy voice could put anyone in a deep trance. You stumbled away, heading to your cabin, but you were intercepted. “Nice job not dying,” a voice from above you said. You glanced around, searching for the speaker. The only people you could see were the ones who were looking at you like you were crazy. “Up here, smart one,” the voice teased. Even before you looked, you thought you recognized that condescending tone.

  4. Jamie laughed again and this time, you joined her. “I can tell you're a pretty good fighter. You were pretty badass out there," she said with a hint of admiration coloring her tone. You blushed, embarrassed but managed to nod. “If you ever want someone to train with, just ask! I’m pretty good myself!” And with that, she took the last bite of her apple and tossed it to the ground, landing a few feet away from you. A small figure rushed over and hurriedly picked up the apple. Looking away from Jamie, you saw that it had been Camellia that picked it up. “Jamie, what have I told you about littering! We have to protect this planet!” Camellia lectured, putting the apple in it’s rightful place; a trash can. Jamie shrugged while saying, “Sorry Camellia! But the trash can was just.......So. Far. Away!” Jamie replied dramatically, exaggerating each of the words. You laughed, but then covered your mouth hurriedly when Camellia sent you 'the look'. “You know, you really shouldn’t be in that tree! It’s bad for it's health!" Camellia scolded Jaime, and she rolled her eyes.
  5. You were about to reply, a pair of strong hands covered my eyes as they said, “Guess who?” Even through the darkness, you could see the person’s muscular body so it didn’t take you long to guess, “Luke?" You figured you had guessed right, because you could suddenly see your surroundings as the hands lifted off your face. “Dang your good!” Luke said with a grin; you also heard retreating footsteps behind you...Jaime and Camellia were leaving you alone with Luke. You punched him playfully and grinned. “Hey, Vi, listen I was wondering.......” You waited anxiously as he tried to pick the right words, “I was wondering if you maybe.......wanted to go to this little ice cream shop near here with me? Jamie said she’d show you.” For a second you were speechless, not sure how to respond but then quickly blurted, “You know Jamie too?!” Luke gave a nervous laugh and nodded, “Honestly Vi, I don’t think there’s a person in the world that doesn't know Jamie!” You laughed at that and smiled at the ground, trying to think of a way to clear the awkwardness. You could tell he still wanted an answer. “Um, well........”
  6. “Sure, why not!” you said as cheerfully as you could, and saw his whole face relax as he smiled so big, it hurt your eyes. “Awesome! That’s great! I’ll talk to you later!” he said, as he dashed away to a group of his siblings, stumbling on the way. You ’t help but beam. You had only been at camp for about four days, and you already had a date with Luke Castellan.. “Not bad for an Hermes kid,” you muttered under my breath as you turned around to go look for Camellia and Jaime. You walked around for a little, then finally stumbled upon Camellia, waiting outside the Big House. “Hey Camellia! It’s late! Why aren’t you at your cabin?” you wondered aloud, sitting down on the steps next to her. “I’m waiting for Jamie,” she replied airily. “You two are friends?”  You couldn’t stop your eyes from bugging out. What had you missed? Jamie and Camellia are about as different as it gets!
  7. She nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, “Yeah, I’ve been here for a couple years and Jamie just got here a little before you. The guys used to pick on me, but once Jamie came and stood up for me, they don’t. It’s really wonderful.” As you were about to reply, you heard footsteps clunking toward you and Camellia. You turned and saw a smirking Jamie followed by a stony-faced Mr. D. You'd only known Jamie for a couple hours and yet you already knew that grin meant nothing but trouble. She walked towards us and then looked back at Mr. D with an annoyed expression on her face as if saying, ‘Can you believe this guy?’. Mr. D glared at her one final time before turning around and walking stiffly back into the Big House. “Hey guys!” she greeted us, standing right behind Camellia and you. You smiled tentatively back at her but then frowned. You turned to Camellia. "What did Jaime do?" She w about to speak when Jaime made a noise indicating she didn't want Camellia to speak.
  8. "So, uh, Vi! What did Luke want?" Jaime asked, wiggling her eyebrows at you. You told them he had asked you to go to an ice cream shop, nothing big. They both stared at you as if you had grown another head. "Nothing big?! NOTHING BIG?!?" Jaime all but bellowed. You stared at her in disbelief and alarm coloring your face. "Luke. Castellan. Asked. You. Out. And you think that's NOTHING BIG? Do you know how many girls around here would DIE to go out with him? Vi, you have no idea what this means....." "Well then tell me what this means!" "He'd rather have YOU over ANY other girl in this bloody camp!" Jaime screeched, half a grin on her face. You could feel your face turning red. "Really? You really think that?" you asked. Camellia shook her head, and looked at you. "We does he want to take you?" she asked in what you guessed was her attempt at an excited voice. You said "He said Jaime would show me...." and Jaime's face brightened a little. "Come on!" she yelled behind her; she was already ten feet away.
  9. After thirty minutes of wogging (that’s walking plus jogging, people) and about a hundred scratches later (Jamie insisted we take the “secret” way in case any monsters tried to sneak up on you) you finally arrived at a dinky little shop with a neon sign that read ““Madgnra Hstis’m Cei Raemc”.......that didn’t sound exactly right. “What’s that say?” you asked your two companions. “Grandma Smith’s Ice Cream,” Jamie replied with a dreamy look on her face. “Oh,” you said, feeling embarrassed that you had to ask. You saw Camellia glance at you as your cheeks burned up. But she just smiled and said, “Don’t worry! Most demigods have ADHD and dyslexia! Jamie does and so do I! Didn’t anyone tell you?” “Um, no,” you replied, feeling even more stupid. Beside you, Jamie was practically pulling you into the ice cream shop while jumping up and down. You didn't think she was very excited.... Sighing, you gave into Jamie and allowed yourself to be pulled into the shop, with Camellia at your heels. When you walked in, you realized what Jamie was so excited about.

  11. The outside may have looked gloomy and forgotten about but the inside was every kid’s dream. Brightly painted walls surrounded you on all sides with steel tables surrounded by futuristic chairs sat all around. But the best part was the giant ice cream bar staring straight at you with at least 30 different flavors. If this were a movie, they’d have that little angelic “ahhhh” playing in the background. It was THAT awesome. Jamie stepped up first, ordering just about every ice cream PLUS overflowing it with all the toppings you could imagine and more. Camellia was a little more level-headed about it, only taking what she knew she could eat. As for you, well you were still deciding while Jamie was bouncing up and down anxiously. Finally, you decided to get your two favorite types of ice cream on a sugar cone with a standard amount of toppings.
  12. When you finally went up to pay, an old woman with spidery gray hair and wrinkles covering her face came over to you and greeted Jamie like an old friend. “Jamie darling! So nice of you to come again! And you brought friends!” “Yes Grandma Smith. This is Camellia and Violet!” Jaime pointed to you, and Grandma Smith smiled warmly at you. “What pretty names!” the old lady gushed and then said, “Tell you what, why don’t I give you those ice creams for free? My treat!” You had been wondering about how you were going to pay, but Jamie seemed to have it covered. “That’s alright Grannie! It looks like you could use some help on the front of your shop!” Jamie commented and pulled a golden credit card out of her back pocket. “You always were a sweetheart!” Grandma Smith as she laughed, but allowed Jamie to pay. You looked back at Camellia to see how she felt about the whole Jamie-paying-for-you thing but she just shrugged and went back to contentedly eating her ice cream as if to say ‘She does this all the time’.
  13. When everyone was finally settled in the chairs, you asked Jamie a question that had been on your mind. “Luke said something to me back at camp. He said that everyone in the world knew you. What did he mean?” Camellia, who was seated next to you, quickly glanced at Jamie and then back at you, with a wide-eyed, alarmed expression on her face. Jamie, who was already halfway through her ice cream set down her spoon and sighed. “My mom was Marilyn King, the famous model, actress, and singer.” “Oh,” you replied quietly, “So that’s how you payed for all this?” She nodded in response and absent-mindedly started eating her ice cream. “But doesn’t she miss you?” you pressed on. You heard Camellia let out a gasp next to you and wondered what you had said wrong. Across from you, Jamie closed her eyes briefly and when she opened them, you thought you could see the faintest hint of tears. “My mom’s dead. She has been for years. It.......it was a plane crash.... Z-Zues' fault,” Jamie told you quietly, while staring down at her ice cream.
  14. “Oh,” you said again, feeling sorry for this girl. Camellia cleared her throat, telling us that she was done with her ice cream. As you glanced down at your cone, you saw that you were done too, but hadn’t even noticed. Jamie’s eyes were still filled with unshed tears but she too managed to stand up and, after giving Grandma Smith a quick hug, followed you and Camellia out the door, where we were greeted by the sickening cackle of a woman who wanted to kill you. "HOLY CRAP I THOUGHT I KILLED YOU!" you heard Camellia screech, but Jaime laid a hand in her shoulder. "She means, she thought WE killed you," she said, and pushed Camellia behind her. "We meet again," the woman purred, "Jasmine King. Only this time, you won't be so lucky......"
  15. Okay, guys, I'm gonna stop here, and HUMONGUS, GIGUNDO, HUGE thank you to Jaime, for helping me out when I was really busy, but wanted to get something up! Love her! Ad thanks again!
