Mysterious Love (Part 3)

You are 17 and you live in the city all your life. You will be dealing with problems that occur in friendship, love, school, and work. It is your chance to make your last year of high school the best you'll ever have!!! In this story, you'll meet Josh, Mike, and Matt.

So this part is all about the party. You get to see a lot of Mike and Matt in this one so I hope you like that. Sorry to Josh fans though. Again, you can make suggestions for future pars of this series.

  1. *Recap: In the last part, you meet Mike and Matt for the first time. Mike is your neighbour's boyfriend while Matt is a guy you met during work. You realize that the guy you bumped into and spilt coffee over is your coworker and boss' son. His name is Josh and you two got to know each other, becoming friends in a short period of time. When you are working, your neighbour comes and invites you to her party. You are left to decide if you want to go or not.* You have just finished working at the store and now you're heading home. Without your car you are walking home yet again (which is a bother by the way). An hour later, you make it to the front porch. It is approaching evening so it is a bit dark outside. You are about to take another step when you see a dark silhouette of something, or someone, crouching on your porch! You squint to readjust your vision and you cautiously approach the figure...
  2. You see that the figure is just sitting there. Waiting. Waiting for who? The silence is ringing loud in your ear; your heart's beating fast. Suddenly, the person shoots up. His head swivels towards you, his eyes looking at you through the darkness. You swear that he can see you. He walks toward you and steps into the light. Soon you are close enough to see the blueness of his eyes. His eyes staring hard into yours.
  3. Then Mike chuckles. Looking at the expression on your face, he asks, "Did I scare you or something, ________? You look pale." He points toward your face. You move away from his finger and you instead lightly slap him. "Don't scare me like that! You could have been a killer or stalker or something! What are you even doing here at my house?" The smile on his face disappears and he becomes serious. He looks toward the ground for a moment. You wonder if he's acting this way because he's nervous. Finally he says, "Well, April wanted to know if you are going to the party or not. We would really like it if you come." At the last sentence he slowly looks at your face. His bright blue eyes observing you. Avoiding his mesmerizing eyes, you say:
  4. "I guess I will see you later then, _______. You wouldn't want to miss it," he says before giving you a wink. With a wave of his hand, he walks in the opposite direction. You watch him go down the sidewalk, seeing him and his black jacket and jeans getting smaller and smaller. Before he disappears, he takes a small peek at you. After a while, you go into your house. Your mind is all scrambled and confused. Your face's red. You do not what you're feeling. Is it a crush on a Mike? Mike, a guy who's already taken? What is it you're feeling?
  5. *Time passes by. It is party time. Woo hoo!* You are walking to the party in the pretty outfit of your choice. From your house, you can hear music off at a distance. Nervousness itches away at you, bugging you the whole walk through. You see a couple of college guys pass by you. They do it while eyeing you and your outfit. Feeling uncomfortable with the attention you're getting, you scurry away faster to April's place.
  6. You make it to April's house to see that the whole place is packed! There are teens of different ages, some even from university or college. A lot of them are wearing bathing suits, wet from swimming in the large pool in the backyard. You scan the crowd to see some familiar faces but a lot of unknown ones. One thing for sure, there are a lot of cute guys! You see some of them pointing and looking at you. Out from a crowd of people, one is heading towards you. He has long dark hair that is just shy of his shoulders, and he is wearing a black shirt with baggy jeans. He has a smile that makes you a little uncomfortable, but makes you want to melt a little.
  7. "What a pretty lady like you doing by yourself? Do you need me to show you the way? Because you know I can...," he asks suggestively while slowly wrapping his arm around your waist. Uncomfortable with the way he's touching, especially since you don't know him, you nicely loosened his hold on your waist. "I appreciate your interest in me but I do happen to have friends here. I wouldn't be here if I don't. Now I really have to go," you say. You try to walk away but he takes a hold on your arm tightly. You look at him to see a fire being alit in his eyes and a creepy smile plastered on his face. Now you have noticed the large muscles through his shirt. It's the first time in your life that you felt this scared. "Oh no. You're not going anywhere. I just got to know you and I want some fun," he says through gritted teeth. His smile grows larger.
  8. Suddenly a powerful force hits the creepy guy and he hits the ground. You stare in astonishment, not knowing what just went on. "What are you doing to _______? Can't you just for once take a hint that a girl is not interested in you?" a deep voice says. You look to see that it's...
  9. Matt. You can't believe that it's him. You two had only meet that one time during work but yet he is here, right now, helping you out. You can't help but notice how cute he is in the grey longsleeves and black jeans. His eyes are slightly covered by his hair and you see that they're green... Then you mentally slap yourself for thinking about him like that at a time like this. You look at the guy on the ground and see that a bruise is starting to form on his cheek. The guy sneers, "Oh. Is she your girlfriend? I hope I didn't damage your pride. She seems to enjoy my presence like your last girlfriend and I'm planning to do more than just talk to her..." His face turns toward you, his eyes slowly looking at every inch of your body. You wrap your arms around your torso, uneasy from the attention, and you look at Matt. His fists are clenched, ready to attack. He is focused on the guy before him, on the brink of losing control. You walk towards him and hold onto one of his fists. His fingers seem to react to your touch. They start to relax. You lean on and whisper into his ear, " Please don't do anything. He's not worth it." At your words, he looks at your face and sees the pleading in your eyes. Contemplating the situation for a while, he then visibly relaxes and walks over to the creepy guy.
  10. Matt walks closer to him and whispers menacingly, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. Remember about the time..." The guy's eyes grow large for a second and then back to normal again. He looks at you and Matt and starts to leave. Before he does, he glares at Matt with the darkness of his eyes. For a minute, everyone is quiet. Then everything goes back to the typical noisiness, as if the fight hadn't happen. You are a little frightened about what just happened but you shake it off. You look at Matt. He still looks angry. "Are you okay?" you ask him. With his green eyes, he looks at your worriedly. "Am I okay? I should be asking you that! Did he do anything to you? If he did, I swear I..." "I'm okay, Matt. If it weren't for you, something might have happened." At that, he smiles. He says, " That's good. I would be mad at myself if something had happened to you." He chuckles, his green eyes sparkling. You notice that this is the first time you have seen him smile. He looks good. "Thank you so much for helping me," you say to him, smiling. For some reason, the smile disappears from his face and he mutters something under his breath. Then he says bye to you and leaves hurriedly. You are left standing at the same spot, shocked and confused about what just happened.
  11. Now that the action's over, you wander around the place. You spot your friends by the pool and head over there. Along the way you see a couple making out against the wall. The guy has the girl pushed against the wall, and their hand are all over the place. From the way things are sounding, they're getting hot and heavy. You try to get this image out of your mind. It's too much a display of affection, making you uncomfortable. You pass by quickly when suddenly a guy from the pool runs towards you.
  12. "Get out of my way," the guy yells. He shoves past you and knocks you into the couple. You break them from their liplocking and right away you say sorry. You look at the ground, unwilling to look at their faces. The feeling of awkwardness overcomes the three of you. "_________?" the guy says questionably. When you look up is when you see who they really are. "Mike," you say with shock in your voice. You see that he's with April, his hair disheveled from their passionate kissing. You notice that her dress is revealing. It is short, black, and... Revealing. No wonder Mike is so turned on tonight. You can't help but feel a little jealous. You think:
  13. "What are you doing, ______!? Were you stalking us or something," April yells, putting her hands on her hips. Having no idea why she's saying this, you shake your head vigourously. Mike looks at you sadly and rubs the back of his neck. He says to you, "________... This is not what it looks like." "Not what it looks like?!" April shrieks, "what do you mean by saying that to her?" She points at you accusingly. Mike steps in front of you and says, "Sorry. I meant that..." "I don't need your explanation, Mike. I'll see you later," interrupts April. She storms off, leaving Mike behind. He slowly turns towards you and whispers apologetically, "_______... I'm so sorry. I didn't know April would be like that. I guess that..." You raise your hand, stopping him. You feel really weird right now. You don't think you could handle anymore so you tell Mike that you'll see him later and walk off.
  14. You sit down on a lawn chair, hiding in the shadows below a tree, and gaze at the people in the pool. You need time to organize your thoughts. So much has happened today that you did not have time to break away from all the drama. There are so much people having fun and being carefree as if there aren't any troubles in the world. You feel so alone, not being in the mood to have fun. A figure obstructs your view of the pool and just stays there. You look up. Getting annoyed you sigh frustratedly, "What do you want, Mike? I need some time alone."
  15. "I know but I really need to talk to you," he says. He sits down beside you and gaze at the pool. You watch him, wondering what he wanted to say. After a while, he turns towards you and says, "Sorry about earlier. I know I already said it but I feel that I should say it again. What April did is uncalled for. Sometimes I don't really know what's going on with her." You think back to her angry expression, mainly focussed on you. "Is it because of me?" you ask. Mike doesn't say anything. He remains silent. You take that his answer is a yes. You proceed to ask him why. Yet again, he remains silent. Then he says, "It's probably not you but me. She gets jealous whenever I'm with another girl. When I found that out the first time, I try to show her that I am loyal by avoiding other girls. I mean she is nice and pretty, only when she's not jealous though. Despite her jealousy, I don't want to lose her. When I saw you for the first time though, there is something different about you. You seem... How can I put this? Real. You're not only beautiful and nice but you're also funny, charming, cute, and shy. I wanted to get to know you as a friend. I think April is mad at me now maybe because I came to you yesterday..." At his compliments about you, you look away from him and blush. "I'm not all that," you mutter. You hear him chuckle. With his fingers, he lifts up your chin and turns your face so that you're looking at him. "You are so cute," he laughs. You two look at each other in the eyes. Your ______ (colour) eyes versus his blue eyes. The atmosphere becomes romantic and he leans in. You don't know what you're doing. You can't think straightly. You start to lean in too.
  16. "What are you doing?" a girl yells. Mike startingly pulls away from you while you reluctantly do it also. You look up to see who it is. Oh my gosh! It's April.
  17. April starts to yell at you, "First Jack (me: AKA creepy guy) goes after you, leading to a fight between him and Matt. And now you're going after my boyfriend. You are such a slut. You just can't have the cute single guys but the unavailable ones also. What's with you?! You think that just because you're my neighbour, you can do whatever you want?Let me tell you this. You are the worst person to live on Earth and you are just a fuc-..." "April. Stop it. You shouldn't be talking to _______ like that. You say she's horrible? Look at you. You are..." Mike says. You didn't stop to listen to what else Mike says. Your eyes are overflowing with tears. You are hurt by the things she had said. Her words had struck the center of your heart, leaving yourself to heal the wounds that start to form. You can't handle it anymore. You leave the property to walk to the one place you know you can find comfort and safety.
  18. You storm into the place, not caring If anyone sees you or if you're too loud. The blond hair boy looks up from his counter and says "Miss, I'm sorry but you have to leave..." He stops. He realizes that it's you who had stormed in. "________? What happened to you?" Josh says, walking towards you. He sees that your face is wet or messy (depending on if you're wearing makeup or not) but he doesn't care. You're crying, that's what matters to him. He is about to say more but he can't as you ram into him. You hug him tightly and cry into your chest. At first, Josh is surprised about your reaction but he immediately hugs you closer to his body and rubs your head. For the rest of the night until the store closes, he rubs the top of your head and whispers comforting words in your ear while you sob into his chest...
  19. End of part 3. Hope you liked it. I know this is so much longer than my other parts but understand that a lot happens in this part. A lot. Do you like the guys better in this part? Hope so. You get to spend more time with Mike and Matt. I felt that there was too much Josh in the previous parts but there is some of him in the part at least. Well anyway, comment and make suggestions and I'll see you in the next part. Who do you like?
