“I’m so sorry.” Lavender mumbled. She messed up. What if people did notice? What then?

‘It’s okay,’ Maeve mumbled and sat next to her, resting her head on her shoulder.

Lavender held her close, kissing the top of her head. “It’s not.”

‘I mean, it’s not your fault. It would have been adorable if we didn’t have to worry about the press.’

“So if I did it now…?” Lavender asked with a flirty smile on her face, trying to make maeve happy so they could both forget about the stupid lipstick stain.

Maeve blushed. ‘I’m a mess right now, but sure,’ she said, rather flusteredly.

“You’re not a mess.” Lavender smiled, pulling her closer and peppering her cheek with kisses.

Maeve flushed bright red and giggled nervously, leaning into her touch. ‘I am. I look like s---,’ she said, looking at the blonde with a flustered grin.

Lavender shook her head. "You're beautiful."

‘Are you sureeeeee?’

"Definitely." Lavender held her close.

Maeve huffed and snuggled close. ‘If you insist.’

Lavender smirked.

Maeve rolled her eyes.
