Chester looked down. He didn’t want to be left alone either.

“What do you want to do?”

‘I don’t know,’ Chester muttered, pulling him closer. He glanced behind Jayden, and saw his parents, just watching him. He saw something large fall from the corner of his eye and pulled Jayden off the dance floor, holding him against him tightly.

Jayden looked up at him. “Come on, let’s go again.” He pulled him to the door.

Chester let himself be pulled. He watched his parents for a second, before exhaling shakily and looking away.

Jayden took him outside. He noticed Jordan’s upset expression, and felt bad, but not at bad as he would’ve felt if he left Chester feeling like this out there.

Chester let him, holding onto his arm tightly. He looked down, feeling bad for ruining their attempts at enjoying Jayden’s birthday.

Jayden looked at him. “Thanks for being here.” He said with a smile. He couldn’t care less that he wasn’t partying as much as usual, he just wanted to make sure the love of his life was okay.

Chester gave a small smile, trying to focus on Jayden’s face and not the movements in the corner of his eyes. ‘It’s the least I could do, darling.’

“Well, the least you could do means a lot to me.” Jayden smiled. “This party would have sucked without you.”

Chester smiled a little wider. He kissed his cheek. ‘I love you. Thanks for wanting to deal with me.’

“I always want to deal with you.” Jayden grinned.

Chester smiled. They got to their bedroom.

Jayden held him close, opening the door.

Chester sat down on the bed, keeping his eyes on Jayden.
