Astrid looked confused, but pissed. “You think IM an excuse of a man?! You’re the one who doesn’t even qualify as one! You’re just a toy, a fling, a publicity stunt! What happens after my brother finally dumps your ass? What will you be then?” Astrid smirked. “Nothing. You will be nothing.”
-
Chester hated that. For just a moment, he thought Astrid was right. That stupid b---- had a way of getting into his head; he wouldn’t care if it was anyone that wasn’t his boyfriend’s brother. ‘I- He would’ve dumped me by now if he was going to,’ he stammered, voice quietening.
-
“Or maybe he’s waiting for you to finally stop clinging to him like a baby.” Astrid sipped his water. “Or until the reporters finally run out of things to pick you apart. It’ll take a while though- you’re a really unpopular guy right now, Chester.”
-
‘Just- Just shut up!’ Chester shouted, voice not full of anger but of fear, slamming his fist that wasn’t clinging to Jayden on the table. ‘Shut up, shut up, shut up!’ Something flashed in the corner of his eye. He whipped around. Nothing was there.
-
Jayden noticed the fear in his voice, taking his hand. “Hey, we can talk about this later.”
-
Chester grabbed his own hair and tugged on it, shutting his eyes tight. ‘Okay,’ he muttered.
-
Jayden pulled Chester’s hands away from his hair gently, not wanting him to hurt himself. “It’s okay. You’re okay.”
-
Chester didn’t grab onto him like he usually would, for fear of being clingy. He hugged himself, playing with Jayden’s hand.
-
Jayden didn’t know what to do. He just kept playing with Chester’s hand.
