Chester smiled. Jayden’s family was sitting at a table. His parents were shocked. Astrid smirked

Jayden sat down. “Miss me?”

Chester chuckled, sitting next to him.

Jayden leaned into him, not really caring whether anyone responded.

Astrid leaned forward, smirking. ‘Not at all, little bro,’

Jayden watched him, unfazed. “That’s a shame.” He shrugged.

‘You finally decided to come back, huh? For the party?’ Astrid chuckled, resting his chin on his hand. ‘Did you have to bring your pet with you?’
Chester pulled Jayden closer. He already wanted to punch Astrid in the face.
‘Oh, snap,’ Atlas muttered to Aster in a poor attempt to make him laugh. -
Aster snorted. Astrid turned his head to the two butlers. “No one said you two could take a break.”
Jayden glared. “I said they could. And Chester isn’t my pet.” -
‘No one said you could be that ugly,’ Atlas muttered. It was the first thing they could think of.
Chester played with Jayden’s hair, trying not to think too much about whag Astrid had said. -
Astrid ignored Atlas. “If he isn’t your pet, why does he follow you around like a scared little puppy?”
Jayden glared. “And you wonder why I waited until the last second to come.” He muttered. -
Chester buried his face in Jayden’s hair. Astrid just chuckled, watching them. ‘C’mon, Jay, you know I’m right.’

Jayden glared. “He’s not a scared little puppy.”
“Look at him. He’s hiding in your hair. Even a dog has more sense than that.” -
(Alg!)
Chester held onto Jayden a little tighter. He didn’t know what it was about Astrid other than his a--holeness. He just managed to get into his head -
Jayden glared, staying quiet. No point starting an argument and stressing Chester out even more.
