Chester smiled. Basil and Maeve went back to talking.

Oliver looked around at the groups forming. “I’m so lonely.” He sighed over dramatically, flopping on Chester with a chaotic grin.

Chester blinked, looking at Oliver. ‘Must suck to be you,’ he said, patting his head.

Oliver sat back up. “You’re so mean.” He grumbled, eating his food. Jayden raised his eyebrows, laughing.

‘You’re acting like Maeve,’ Chester chuckled. Maeve poked her tongue out at him.

Oliver shrugged. “She’s a bad influence.”

‘You’re a grown man!’

“I can still be peer pressured!”

‘By a 16 year old?!’

“….. I’m not a strong willed man, okay?”

‘I can tell.’

Oliver rolled his eyes.

Chester laughed.

Jayden reluctantly packed his things up, looking at Chester. “Are you sure we have to go to my castle?” -
‘How else would we attend Astrid’s dumb party?’ Chester held up a ruby necklace, debating whether or not to take it. ‘Would Kayden be mad at you if we don’t go?’
