Smiling like an idiot, I headed off. I was still smiling when I got home and for once Father was already home. "What's with you, mister?" he asked.

(how about his father see's the mark and sends people after Miranda so she has to hide and he is trying to find her)
I soon entered my home, my cheeks were still filled with blush and my eyes twinkled. I couldn't stop smiling -
(M'kayz. Can you be the dad right now so I'm not talking to myself? .-.)
I tried to put on a straight face, which failed. '"Nothing, just nice night." I lied. -
He raised an eyebrow at Keegan, not believing him for a second. "Hm...and how did it go with Miss.Black?" He asked suspisiously

I shook my head. "I hate to go against you and the congregation, but you're wrong about her. She's just a lovely girl with a bit of rebellion." I explained, and remembered what we discussed. "Which reminds me. . .I don't wish to marry Rachel. I don't love her." that set him off.

"You are to marry Rachel whether you like it or not! And don't say such things about Miss.Black, she is a witch!" he glared for a few seconds, "Show me your arm"

"No!" I said firmly, but keeping my tone even. "She's not a witch and I won't marry Rachel. You shouldn't be able to run my life!" I added getting red and clenching my fists.

Clenching his teeth the father grabbed the sleeve of his angered sons shirt and ripped it off to reveal in elagant writting branded on his arm, the name Miranda. "Witch!" he shouted loudly

"No!" I shouted pulling my arm back. I thought quickly looking around the room. My eyes landed on a quill pen. "It's ink." I lied.

"I have taught you better than to lie Keegan, now stay here and I will go and take care of that witch!"

Rage was boiling inside of me. As he reached for the door I took his wrist. "No. I love her and you won't touch her" I whispered menacingly.

He shook his head sadly at his son, "Tsk tsk, you are falling for her decieving ways, she will kill you Keegan and I as your father will rid her from our lives as a way to protect you"

I shook my head vigorously. "You saw the proof Father. She loves me. And I love her. If you weren't so caught up in your religion you'd see that. You would've seen why Mother left you. You don't think about anything but the church."

He glared at his son angrily, "This is why love should only be for the lord and no one else" He stormed out the house, on his way towards Miranda's home
