I nodded. "interesting. And you have no suitors?" I asked. Maybe pushing it a bit. But to lie was one sin, taking an unavailable woman was bigger however.
-
I shook my head, "I don't think so...but to tell you the truth I honestly don't know what you mean by suitors, I don't really socialise that much so many phrases and words are forgien to me"
-
I pressed my lips together. "Romantic interests?" I suggested a new phrase. "Also would you like some tea?" I asked, moving towards the stove.
-
My cheeks filled with blush, "Oh..um no. None at all, what about you. No thank you, sir"
-
I scrunched up my nose. "Interesting. . ." I paused before giving my answer. "Mary Newbury. I'm expected to marry her, but I'm against it. I do not love her." I said setting up a cup for myself. I sat across from her and waited for the tea to boil.
-
"Why marry her if you do not love her? Are they forcing you under your own will to marry her? In my opinion arragened marriages are absurd and innapropiate. To marry someone whom you do not desire to or love.." I saighed sadly at the thought, "...its just so very wrong"
-
By the time
Nashi had responded, the tea had gone staleshe finished the tea was done. I nodded and sat across from her. "I agree, but it's what's expected and I cannot go against my father." I said sadly. -
(sorry I hadn't responded for so long..)
"Why not? Sometimes a bit of a rebellion is needed in a few situations and your situation definitly is in need of one...its your life Keagon, not his, you control it, not him" I quickly covered my mouth as soon as I said that, sure not all witches talk like that but most women who get locked up do...and I would definitly not want that. I regretted saying that, it's unexpected for young ladies to speak as such -
(it's okay)
I smiled and sipped my tea. "You may be right, Miranda, but it's just not how things work." she was an odd one that's for sure. . . Speaking like that just wasn't normal. -
(gooood!)
I looked back at him, so he didn't scold me? Thats good. I grinned and shrugged, "Thats the beauty of rebellion, change, change the way everything works....maybe someday someone will rebel for ladies to wear trousers and shirts instead of dresses and dresses!" I said -
I chuckled. "That's an interesting theory you have there." I commented. The very thought seemed crazy, but maybe she was right. I knew there was something about it that seemed wonderful. . . I paused to ponder before speaking. "Maybe I shall talk to father about it. Thank you, Miranda." I said taking her hand and kissing it.

Lorah Newbietake my quiz....pweaseeeee?
-
I smiled, my cheeks reddened slightly, I suppose sharing my opinion is not as bad as I thought, maybe some people will listen...if I get their attention I suppose. "You must talk to him about it, shouldn't there be free will in this world we live in? You, my friend will start a revolution just by standing up to your father" I said proudly
-
I bit my lip. That's not exactly what I want to do, but maybe change is for the best. I highly doubted father was right about Miss. Black, she was just a bit rebellious. Which of course would be why someone would suggest she was guilty of witchcraft. The storm was letting up. "Um, would you like me to walk you home? It's getting late. . ." I said lamely.
-
My eyes found the window and stared outside, the storm will be back in three days and will last much longer. Let him walk me to my house? I don't believe that would be such a good idea as he would see the outside of my house, and even the outside suggests of my practice in white magic. No. I can not let him come. I stood up and shook my head, "No thank you, I'll be fine by myself"
