I sighed and looked out the window. -
He wondered briefly what city she'd want to stop at, and then realized he knew nothing about her.

I thought about what they would be doing at the castle about now. Most likely hunting the Slayer and looking for me. Father would be worried, and so would Angel.

He couldn't believe he was actually helping a vampire. A monster, he thought, thinking of the millions of times his father had said that. And here he was, helping a vampire escape her clan.
The guard rushed down to the dungeons, hoping to find Piper there. "M'lady?" he called out. She was missing from her room. Maybe she's annoying the Slayer, Angel had said. But when the guard reached the torture room, it was empty. No Piper. No Slayer. -
I thought about the alarms going off as they realized the Slayer and the leader's daughter ere missing.

This was bad. This was very, very bad. The guard went back to the king and nervously told him. What was going on between the Slayer and the king's daughter?

Angel was worried. Where the hell is she? And the Slayer? What's going on?

Tyler looked over at Piper. "It sounds like you've been wanting to leave for a while. Anywhere you had in mind?"
The guard stood perfectly still, listening to the king. They were to find the Slayer and the king's daughter. Immediately. -
"Nope." I said. "Just find a place and continue from there."

"Okay." At least she didn't want to go somewhere that would take him forever to drive there. Or across the ocean.

Angel paced in her room. What the hell was she going to do? Her sister was missing, along with the Slayer.

The guard hid his disappointment as the king decided who would find his daughter and the Slayer. He wasn't one of the leaders. He was part of the team, though.

I leaned back and closed my eyes.
Angel went into the throne room to see what was going on. Some of the most well trained guards were leaving to find Piper and the Slayer.
