They drove along in silence for a while. Finally, Tyler had the courage to ask her. "So... what was your mom like?"

I looked at him and sighed. "She...she was the closest person to me. She was against being a vampire though. She hated hurting people, we sometimes had o force her to feed!" I said. "But she taught me to hunt, fight, and how humans lived."

"I'm sorry you lost her..." He frowned. Piper's mom sounded nice. He could understand why she would miss her.

"She...she was killed by our own kind..." I said quietly.

"That's terrible." He glanced over at her then back to the road.

"Yes." I said bitterly.

By then, they were on the highway.

I sighed and leaned back.

He looked over at her. "You must be tired."

"Not really. I was sleeping before you woke me up." I said looking a him.

"I wasn't trying to wake you up, I was just trying to get out of there."

"I know. Place is depressing, isn't it?"

"Yep. I wasn't even in the for a full two days."

I rolled my eyes. "Try living there."
