I took Tylenol though, because I wanted to be able to get up and help my mom.

In my experience, Tylenol is not really all that good for pain. Advil tends to be a bit better

Nothing really helps me much. It usually just puts me to sleep, or it only works for an hour, even if I'm not in too much pain.

I'm very sorry, I absolutely relate. It's why I usually don't even bother with pain meds

Just my period. Pain medicine just doesn't seem to work for that.

There's medication specifically for period cramps/pain, but I can't swallow pills, so I've never had a chance to try it. But I can find the name of the brand for you, if you'd like? So you can try and get some for your next time of the month -
I've tried medicine especially for it, but it didn't work.
And, are you sure we're not related? I can't swallow pills either! I have to dissolve them in my tea. -
Off-brand menstrual complete works better than Pampirin for me, but it doesn’t work too well either since my cramps are literally awful.

Haha, I'm sure. Though, I can't even drink them if they've been dissolved, as I have bad gag reflex to bad tastes. It's why we have to pay insane amounts of money for liquid medication
I strongly recommend investing in a heating pad, or these temporary heating pads you can get at Walgreens/other retailers: -

@Dark: The heating pad does work for me. I usually borrow my mom's, but I can't do that because she's self-quarantined right now. I should find myself a heating pad, though.
