I have gym the last period of my day at school, so I ride the bus home sometimes and I don't have time to change out. When I was getting off the bus today wearing my shorts that came to mid-thigh my bus driver wouldn't open the dorm until he said " I have had some complaints about girls wearing gym shorts" and I explained to him that I have no time to change out which I don't . He was being such a jerk about it. So basically my school is sexulizing teenage girls. Go sign my petition. Here is the link [no urls]

first off, your school is not sexualizing young, teenage girls, they are trying to avoid sexual harassment charges and lawsuits
shorts are acceptable unless they are not causing the girl's ass to poke out of the two denim holes
it should be allowed at certain times of the month for both sexes, especially when the school year is approaching summer and the weather will me scorching hot
there's something called common decency, and about almost every job you apply to in your near future will have dress codes -
I understand that but I'm talking about running shorts that athletes are able to wear not that type of stuff, and thank you to the ones who replied and helped
-
i think you should be able to wear shorts whenever you want. even if its in the winter, though its not smart because of the snow and freezing temps, nobody should stop you. i hate that in some schools girls can't wear shorts or even show their shoulders or collarbone because "boys will get distracted". it is absolutely sexualizing young girls and pushing the mentality that they have to be "innocent and modest" to make the boys happy. it pisses me off how sexist some school dress codes are

Yes, thank you brownie! I was told today to wear sweatpants in eighty degree weather because I have no time to change before my bus
-
SCREW THAT! WE ARE NOT OBJECTS!
-
Yes, they need to teach male staff and students to respect not sexualize
