So you're weighting your comfort (for all of two seconds) against your mother's happiness.
So not only are you rude and hateful, you're also selfish. You have nothing to lose from a hug but your mother has everything to gain. It's selfish and pompous. -
It kind of does make them rude. Unless if you were touched inappropriately, I see no reason as to why you're uncomfortable with giving your mother a hug.

..*gives up and walks away*

It's just that "I don't need a reason to reject your physical affection." sounds really mean. To most people, that sounds like "I'm rejecting you." Even if that's not what you mean.
-
If she was touching you innappropriately that's different. You aren't denying being touched. It's not as simple as that. You're telling your mom that her love is meaningless to you. You're saying that you want nothing to do with her. Your mother tried to show you she cared and you spit it back in her face.
-
Bob- o.o I still don't see how that obligates me to
Megan- Good. If you don't understand why someone would feel uncomfortable doing that, then that's good. You're lucky.
Appa- Well it's true. I don't need a reason. -
It doesn't. It shouldn't have to. It should be a common courtesy. And you don't seem to understand that concept. That's why we're all just a little bit more disappointed in you.
-
Bob I didn't say that, I just didn't want to hug her o.o
-
Why are you uncomfortable with it though?
-
No it shouldn't be a common courtesy. It shouldn't be considered normal for parents to touch their children without their consent. I have literally said to my mom "don't touch me without my consent" before.
-
Megan it's too hard to explain. But I shouldn't need a reason for feeling uncomfortable in the first place.

Remember what I said in the other thread about seamless parallels? -
Can you try to explain?
-
Touching someone has nothing to do with loving them O.O I don't love my mom any less just because I don't want to touch her...
Megan- no. -
And why not?
