The Life of a Warrior Cat Part 8

Hello and welcome back to The Life of a Warrior Cat Quiz Series! At the end of the last quiz, Frostcrystal and her brother Ashsnow teamed up to protect Mistycloud and her newborn kits from a StormClan and AirClan invasion.

Mistycloud has a tom and two she-kits. The tom is named Stonekit, a grey tabby tom with blue eyes, named after his father, Stonewing, the white she-kit with blue eyes is called Mistykit and the white she-kit with green eyes is named Frostkit, after you, because you delivered them.

  1. The invaders streak out of camp, battered and broken. You and Ashsnow stand side by side at the nursery, chests heaving after the brutal fight.
  2. Lionstrike weaves his ways through the warriors to reach your side. "Are you alright?" he asks anxiously, sniffing your pelt and checking for injuries. You flick him gently with your tail. "I'm fine. You aren't alright, though." you meow, eying his torn flanks and bleeding paws. "Go see Honeydew before you bleed to death!" you steer him towards the small medicine cat who was tending to battered warriors.
  3. Night falls over the exhausted, bloodstained camp of injured warriors. You went out on two hunting patrols as one of the unharmed warriors to bring back much-needed food for the Clan, and are consequently now exhausted. Lionstrike is dozing next to you, cobwebs and herbs stuck to the wounds on his pelt.
  4. The next day, as the injured warriors rest in the sunlight, you sit sharing tongues with Lionstrike. His feathery golden tail is twined with yours and your pelts are touching. "Frostcrystal," he meows suddenly, "I need to ask you something. Will you, the most beautiful cat in all of the Clans, best hunter in WaterClan, be my mate?" "Of course I'll be your mate, kindest cat in the world, Lionstrike!" you purr, giving him a gentle lick.
  5. A moon passes after the battle, and it is time to go to the Gathering. The Clan is eager to know why they were attacked. You and Lionstrike have both been chosen to attend the Gathering, and have promised to bring back news for Mistycloud.
  6. The Gathering begins. Volestar pads forwards, his blue eyes reflecting the moon. "Thistlestar, Windstar," he meows, nodding to the leader of StormClan, Thistlestar, and AirClan's new leader, Windstar, "why were we attacked? We had done nothing to you, absolutely nothing. One of my warriors almost died in this battle." he growled, his voice hardening. Thistlestar flicked his brown and white ear dismissively, while Windstar hissed from her perch on the lowest rock.
  7. Thistlestar looms above Volestar. "We attacked because we found WaterClan scent inside our boundaries, Volestar." he spat. Windstar reared up on her hind paws. "And you have been stealing prey from AirClan!" she accused, her yellow eyes slits of anger. Volestar shook his head, his neck fur laying flat still. "Neither me nor any of my warriors have been over your borders. If you want to accuse us of something, show us proof!" Windstar strutted forwards and flung a heap of bones up onto Volestar's rock. "There. You want proof? We have proof. These are prey bones that reek of WaterClan!" she yowled.
  8. Lilystar, leader of DarkClan, pads forwards to sniff the bones. Her long, sleek white and grey pelt twitches as she drinks in the scent of the bones. "Sorry Windstar, but these bones do not smell of WaterClan. In fact, they smell more like a rogue has come and hunted in your territory." she meowed, her green eyes staring directly at the young AirClan leader.
  9. "No! They smell of WaterClan! I-" Windstar began, but Lilystar cut her off. "The Gathering is over, may StarClan be with you, all of you!" she yowls, then jumps off the rock and runs out with her Clan. Volestar nods towards Smokestripe, and he gathers the Clan to leave for camp.
  10. You wake up the next morning and feel a squirming, sick feeling in your belly. Without waking Lionstrike, you walk over to the medicine cat's den on the other side of the clearing. Honeydew pokes her ginger head out. "Hi, Frostcrystal! Anything I can help you with?" she asks cheerfully. You nod. "I have this sick feeling in my belly and it won't go away." you meow nervously. Honeydew's eyes twinkle. "I think I know what that means. Frostcrystal, you're expecting kits!"
