The Life of a Warrior Cat Part 5

Hello and welcome back! Frostpaw is gone and Frostcrystal is here! She and her brother, Ashsnow, had their mother, Snowcrystal's name spilt between them as a memory of her.

It's time for Frostcrystal and Ashsnow's moonlight vigil, along with Lionstrike, Emberflower and Honeyleaf. That tortoiseshell queen, Lilyleaf's, four kits are the new apprentices: Reedpaw, Stormpaw, Lilypaw and Berrypaw.

  1. It's night and you are sitting at the camp entrance, on guard. Lionstrike is next to you and Ashsnow is on your other side. Lionstrike has his tail curled around you and his green eyes are half closed.
  2. The sun rises over the mountains in the distance. It's finally dawn and the vigil is over. Mistycloud pads up to you, and you notice that her belly is swinging. She sees you looking at her and purrs. "Yes, you noticed, didn't you? I'm expecting Stonewing's kits!" she curls her tail. "But enough about me. How are you? No more training anymore!"
  3. You walk over to the warriors' den with Lionstrike at your side. "Do you want to come hunting, Frostcrystal? I don't feel tired at all, do you?" he asks."Sure," you purr, "I'm not tired either. Let's go!"
  4. You walk side by side with Lionstrike, pelts brushing. Suddenly, you spot a crow sitting on a low tree branch. You freeze and drop to the ground, flicking Lionstrike with your tail to tell him to do the same. You leap up onto the tree branch and hook your claws around the crow, biting it's neck. It goes limp and you jump out of the tree with the huge bird clamped in your jaws.
  5. Lionstrike's jaw drops. "Wow, Frostcrystal! You're amazing!" he gives your cheek a friendly lick. "I've never seen a cat leap so high before!" he purrs.
  6. You and Lionstrike walk back into camp together and you drop your catch on the fresh-kill pile. Your jaws gape in a massive yawn. Lionstrike steers you over to the warriors den and you sink into your newly made nest, Lionstrike curling up beside you.
  7. You wake up to find Lionstrike standing over you. "Wake up, sleepy, we're on the dawn patrol!" he meows. You leap to your feet, and, careful not to disturb any other cats , pad out of the warriors' den into the early morning light. Emberflower and Honeyleaf are waiting for you. You give yourself a quick grooming and then bound out of the camp after them.
  8. After the dawn patrol, you are sent out again on a hunting patrol. You catch two fish and one mouse, which you struggle to carry back to camp. Eventually you get back and dump you prey on the fresh-kill pile, and are then greeted by an excited Ashsnow. "Frostcrystal! Frostcrystal, guess what? We're going to the Gathering with the other new warriors!" he yowls.
  9. You are allowed to go back to your den and catch a quick nap, then go out on the dusk patrol and get ready for the Gathering party. Volestar emerges from his den and flicks his tail, beckoning the cats going to the Gathering to him. "Goodbye! Tell us what happens!" call the cats who are staying behind. You purr with happiness as the Gathering patrol rushes out of camp.
  10. It's night by the time you reach the Gathering Place. Four rocks bunch together in a circle, and the leaders of each Clan leap onto their appointed rock with the deputies while the rest of the cats sit around the rocks. Volestar and Smokestripe sit on the third-tallest rock with Thistlestar and Dustleap from StormClan on the highest, Lilystar and Ebonywillow from DarkClan on the next tallest, and Rabbitstar and Windpelt from AirClan on the lowest rock. Volestar raises his grey head. "Let the Gathering begin!" he yowls.
