  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. The air got cold, really cold. It gave you all an uncomfortable feeling. "Let's split up in groups. If we stay together it makes an easy target," You suggested, which was true. But, you also had to put the plan in action. "I say, girls stay together, Boys stay together," Renee put in. The boys look at you with suspicious eyes. "It makes sense, now quit being wussy's and go roam around," Nakia Jae said, and lightly pushed Renee forwards so she could lead you all up the stairs. "What happened to your shirt, ________?" Max asked, causing you to freeze. "Whatdoyoumean?" You said in one breath, though he caught it all. "I mean, it looks like somebody burned it in some places, what happened when you guys were being chased?" Max's words scared you. You couldn't tell them, they'd weither wouldn't believe you, or call you a traitor. "I don't know, one minute we're talking about how we were going to win, the next we're being chased," You were surprised your voice didn't shake. "This looks like someone caught it on fire," Max said causing your stomach to churn. You recall feeling a pain in your back before you appeared in the house. "Don't worry about it," you assured him. "it's probably nothing. I did fall." You had to lie, what were you supposed to say?
  2. Finally letting it go, you split up. Girls get upstairs, boys check the basement. After that, girls get attic, boys get upstairs. Than, girls get basement and boys get attic. After that, process repeats until 3:33am. You girls decide to pull the prank an hour and a half after the game starts, therefore the boys won't be expecting it. They're suspicious already. Was there a hole in your smooth lies? Was it impossible to believe that these guys would give up Prank Week for you and Renee? Did they take Prank Week that seriously? Apparently. You divided up into groups of two, except you stayed in your own group so Renee or one of the other girls didn't have to. There were only 7 of you girls. The groups were: Nakia and Renee, Lilah and Syllabell, Phoenix and Sam, than you. You decided to take the living room and kitchen, Sam and Phoenix took the bathroom and library, Lilah and Syllabell took the Master bedroom and Renee's bedroom, and Nakia Jae and Renee took your fathers study. You had your candle in a plastic cup, so the wax didn't drop onto your hand or stain the floor or carpet, everyone did this. You gripped the cup, afraid that you might drop it. You walked down the hallway and you could only see a couple feet ahead of you. The only sound were the floor creaking from the others across the house and the shuffling of your feet. The silence was killing you and it left a irritating ringing in your ears. In your other hand you had a bag of salt and you hoped that I'd be enough to create a circle around you. The boys were responsible for that part.
  3. You swallow down the lump in your throat. You were on your own. You didn't have another person to watch your back like the others did. You knew how to take care of yourself, that was already proven, but you couldn't get rid of the bad feeling you had in the pit of your stomach. Goosebumps coated your arms and a shiver ran through your body. Clutching the plastic bag of salt, you look over your shoulder, into the darkness. You couldn't see anything, so you faced forward again. April was standing in front of you, making you jump and drop the bag, giving out a little shriek. After recollecting yourself, you bend down and pick up the baggy. Luckily it was closed so none of it spilled. You glared back down at the small child standing in front of you and gave a small sigh. Nothing could get rid of her. Though, she had said she wanted to take part... You raised your eyebrow at her. Despite the scare she gave you, you were happy for the company. "So, when are we going to prank the boys? I heard Renee's going to scream like she's getting murdered. Is that true? What are you going to do? Oh, maybe you could cover yourself in blood and lay on the ground with a half circle of salt! What can I do? Can I push someone dow-" "April.." You say, looking around. You didn't see anyone, but you were afraid maybe one of the boys were listening. Than you thought, what the heck am I worrying about? Apparently I'm the only one who can see the kid. "What if I blew out their candles and threw their bag of salt across the room scattering it? Could I do that? What if I trash the place? Come on, I wanna-" She kept on rambling. Which was starting to get annoying. Plus, you had been standing here for about two minutes. You had to keep walking. "APRIL!" You try not to yell it, though it was fairly loud enough to where she stops talking. "What?" She asks, her eyebrows furrowing into a frown. You couldn't help but smile a little. "Just follow me, okay? We have to keep moving." You hand her the bag of salt and surprisingly she holds it. It doesn't go through her hands or anything. You walk into the kitchen. It's a small room, and you cover it quickly, despite your slow walking. Once you're out in the living room, you bump into Renee and Nakia. They don't say anything, they just give you a mischievious smile before Renee gestures to the basement door with a nod of her head. How were you guys going to pull this off? The first prank you guys had planned was that Renee was going to purposely fall down the stairs, but make it look like she had been pushed. Kind of lame, but you couldn't go to the extremes yet. They didn't seem to notice April, nor the bag of salt she was holding. Nakia looks down at your hands and frowns a bit. "Where's your bag of salt?" She looks up at you with confusion and suspicion. You glance down at April who shrugs. You clench your jaw a bit and shrug. "Dunno, guess I lost it somewhere. I'll be fine though. I'll find it." You gave her a smile to reassure her. "Okay, well, let's get this show on the road," Renee says so softly that you strain to hear her. She opens the basement door slowly and takes one step. "Hey, guys? Have you-" She gets cut off, because April steps forwards and gives her a good push. A shriek comes from her mouth and you cover yours from screaming as well. You try to reach out to Renee to catch her but Nakia pulls you away from the door so you're out of sight. You can hear the thumps from Renee tumbling down the steps. You glower at April and she smiles sweetly. Even though Renee was a possible traitor, she was also your little sister. You were defiantly going to have a talk with April. You hear the boys rushing towards her aid, asking her questions like, "Holy shi- shark, are you okay?!" "Did you trip?" "Are you kidding, Alex?! 'Did you trip?' That's no trip! It looked like someone pushed her!" You felt your stomach churning with guilt. You knew who pushed her, though you kept your mouth shut. Nobody would believe you anyways.. would they?
  4. You could hear the shaking in Renee's voice as she spoke. You can't figure out if it's real or if it's fake. "I was just coming down here to ask if you guys have seen my sister. None of us can find her. Nakia went out of the house looking for her.." Her small, shaky voice trailed off. You let your hands fall to your sides and inch a little bit closer to the door, handing your candle to Nakia. This wasn't part of the plan, going out of the house. You and Nakia exchange a look and she shrugs. She hadn't been aware either. You peer around the corner and see Alex, Max, Zaine, Atreyu and Fang crowded around Renee. "Wait, are you saying they left the house? Like, as in they're no longer inside?" Max asks, and you pull your head away from the doorway before Max looks up at it. "Yes, Nakia said that she saw my sister walk out the front door. She didn't have her candle or salt either. I have no idea why she would be going out there, but Nakia went after her.." You glance out again and see Renee's shoulders shaking. Was she really crying? Or, was it all part of the act. You could see the frown on Zaines face, staring at Renee confused. Atreyu had the same expression. Renee was now holding her ankle. "That doesn't make any sense," Zaine says, giving Renee a suspicious stare. "Nakia wouldn't do that. She know's whats out there, and it's part of the rules." Atreyu nods his head in agreement. "Nakia and ________ aren't that stupid." He says, supporting his friend. "Guys, hold on. How do we know this isn't a trick?" Alex says. You hold your breath as your heart starts to pound like a humming bird in your chest. You crawl back to where Nakia is crouched and you take your candle. You blow it out and Nakia gives you a look as if to say, 'Are you crazy?!' You let out a shakey breath, afraid of what was going to happen next. "Are you calling me a liar? Why don't you go up there and search the house yourself. They're gone and I can't find them!" Her voice was rising, getting so defensive you almost believe the lie yourself. "We have to get out of here," You whisper as low as possible to Nakia and she shakes her head vigorously. "Hell to the no! You saw what was out there! We'll die within seconds if they find us!" She hissed and you grabbed onto her shoulders, shaking her slightly. "Nakia, if we stay here we'll ruin the whole thing! Where else are we supposed to go?" You reach for her candle so you can blow it out, but she beats you too it. "What's more important to you, _______? Your pride, or your life?" her voice was no longer angry, only soft. You let out a long breath and looked at the basement door. Wide open. You could hear the voices drifting up the stairs. "Fine, we'll go check. We'll probably find them in a closet, giggling like idiots." Max says. It wasn't really like him to call you nor Nakia an idiot. You guessed it was probably that he hated being lied to. The lump in your throat returned and April already had a hold on your arm. As much as you wanted to shrug it off, you knew she would end up finding you. Nakia grabbed your hand and you transported outside. Sure, you guys could have used the door, but by the time you would get there, the boys would have found you and everything would be ruined. The night was already going so much different than any of you had thought it might. The air has gotten colder and you can see your breath. You didn't know where your mind was wondering to, but you and Nakia found yourselves on a tree branch.
  5. For a moment you and Nakia stare at each other for a long moment before April breaks the silence. "Now what are we supposed to do?" You look at Nakia to she if she heard. Maybe they really didn't see April, but you could. Maybe Lilah sensed her sometimes, but there has to be some sort of rational explanation to why you are the only one who can see her. You bit your lip nervously and let out a long sigh. Despite the chilly air, you were surprised that you couldn't see your own breath. Goosebumps had sprouted against your skin and a cold chill went throughout your body causing you to shiver. "Are we just supposed to sit up here until one of the girls calls us? If so, when is that supposed to be? We have two hours left. We don't have our candles, we don't have our salt and it's freezing out here! Plus this dang tree branch is hurting me-." Nakia could have gone on and on if you had let her. But, her voice was rising with every word and you had no choice but to clamp your hand over her mouth so her words were muffled. "Nakia, shut up. We don't know what's out here in these woods and yelling and complaining will do nothing but draw them to us. I'll tell you what we're going to do. We're going to get down from this tree and walk around carefully. We'll be fine." You kept your voice low, almost in a whisper. You gently took your hand away from your mouth and she nodded. "You're right, I'm sorry. This night is already all sorts of screwed up." Her tone matched yours and you both looked around. The moon was now high in the sky, so it made it easy to look around. So far, it was quiet. Despite the hooting here and there of owls and some birds chirping. You grabbed a hold on Nakia's hand and closed your eyes. You focused on the ground. The rough surface. The feeling of the dirt running through your fingers. Slowly you opened your eyes. You three were now on the ground, standing on two feet. You couldn't tell if it was where you were intending to go though. But, at least you were on the ground. You still had Nakia Jae's hand in yours as you, April, and Nakia began walking. You didn't have a particular place in mind. Just around. If you ran into trouble, you could easily teleport somewhere safe. As in say your room back home, or your fathers house. It was strange, thinking as the head quarters as your home. But, nevertheless, it was. The silence was eerie, though none of you decided to break it. You weren't very sure what time it was, or how long you three have been walking, before April came to a stop and gave you a look. Anxiety and fear were written on her face. But, why? "Stop, don't walk." You had already stopped and gave April a quizzical look. "What? What is it?" Nakia asked, scooting closer to you, looking around. "Ssh, hang on." You whispered to her and looked back to April. "Someone's close." After her sentence there was a screeching noise of laughter. Kind of like a witches, except this sounded like fire cracking. "What a joy! I've found the prize! I've found the prize!" Even the voice sounded like fire, spreading around the three of you girls. There was a sharp pain in your head and by the look on Nakia's face you knew she felt it too. "_________, get us out of here. Now." You haven't heard Nakia's voice so scared before. Though, as much as you wanted to listen to her, something was telling you to stay. If it was just one, the two of you could take whatever it was head on. You could take it back to the house for questioning. "Little toys, I'm here to play!" "Hello?! Did you not just hear me?!" You could tell that the fear was being replaced with anger. "Hang on! Maybe if its just one-" "__________." April said your name and you held up your hand. "In a minute, April. Anyways, maybe if it's just one than we can take whatever it is hea-" "__________!" April said loudly and turned you around so you came face to face with a girl. She looked a good three years older than you. Her hair was a fierce bright orange and her golden eyes glowed. Freckles coated her skin and she was a good inch or two shorter than you. But, you were naturally tall. "She was right. So very right. You are just like your mommy." Her tone was light and playful. You took a step back, almost tripping on Aprils small body. You were so shocked you couldn't speak. There was icy hand around your throat, threatening to choke you if you said a word. You could hear a low growl come from Nakia. "I swear, if you don't get me out of here in the next 2.5 seconds, I will get myself out of here and leave you behind." You knew she was only threatening. Nakia was too loyal to leave you alone by yourself. April grabbed for your hand, her hand was surprisingly warm.
  6. You ignored Nakia and looked straight on with the girl with orange hair? What was she? She was beautiful. Crazy beautiful. But, you could feel her wickedness as if it were leaking into you. Was she a faerie? You couldn't tell. Something was telling you to stay. So, you were following your gut. Instinct. A horrid beautiful smile formed on her face, only brightening her features. Suddenly all of your anger goes away. You stared at her in wonder. You could hear other things moving quickly around you. You feel Nakia grip onto your arm and start to shake you. "DUDE. I SWEAR, IF I HAVE TO CALL THE GUYS AND HAVE THEM COME HERE IT'S NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY." She was yelling loudly, attracting more attention. You pushed her hands away and shushed her. You almost felt bad for her. You felt something hot in the air, a tingling feeling across your skin. You looked down at your arms to find fire licking up them, getting higher and higher. All you felt was the heat. No pain, just heat and electricity. Nakia's voice eventually drowned out and you no longer felt the warmth of Aprils hand. It was lost somewhere in between the seconds. You let your gaze go back up to the pretty girl with orange hair and golden eyes. Suddenly, you wanted to be important to her. You wanted to be her life and death. You wanted to be the reason that she was pleased in all of the things she did. You wanted to wrap yourself in her soul, so dark and warm. You wanted to hold all of her pain and hate. You wanted to find out the secrets to her wickedness, you wanted to pull apart the strings binding her love and smile together. You could feel your mind whirling all of your thoughts away, as if they were a dust cloud slowly evaporating into the air. You felt your hands moving, but it felt as if you were moving them through mud. You didn't really know what was happening. You were lost. Utterly and completely lost in the Pretty Orange Haired girls smile. You hear her softly talking, speaking words you couldn't quite understand. You almost began to smile, until a loud high shriek shattered the air like glass. You were laying on your back, twigs and rocks digging into your back. Nakia Jae was on top of you, yelling. "You're an idiot! Did you know that? Now look at what you've started!" You frowned at her words. Nakia has never been this angry with you. Why was she even so angry? Your eyes darted around expecting to see dozens of Vampires and Faeries and Wolves and Fallen Angels, and Goblins and such. But, all you saw was April peeking out from behind a tree. You let your eyes settle back on Nakia and you pushed her off of her, quite forcefully. She flew off of you, sliding and rolling in the dirt until a tree stopped her. By the time you were on your feet, so was the wolf girl in front of you. Nakia was snarling, keeping her distance from you. "You have no idea what you've just done. Once Raven finds out-" A jolt of terror ran through you. Whatever you did, it must have been bad. "Raven won't find out! Please, Nakia, you said so yourself we stick together. You made an oath!" Your words were quick, and your heart was thumping in your ribs. Your hair was plastered to your face and neck with sweat and the chilly wind was starting to cool you off. Something felt off about you. Your body was shaking slightly, but you thought that was probably from fear. April came up behind Nakia eyeing your neck. She was probably too scared to look you in the eye. A sigh came from Nakia and she shook her head. "You're letting them win. Who's side are you on?" Her words shocked you. "I'm on your side! I proved that, didn't I? We won the battle-" Nakia cut you off. "Yes, we did. But, now the war's just begun and they already have a point." Her words confused you, yet again. They also made you angry. You narrow your eyes at her and this time you shake your head. "What are you talking about?" "You're a pawn to them. You just gave them what they wanted." You didn't do anything, as far as you could remember. You didn't know what happened after you saw the girl with orange hair. "Yeah? What did I give them?" You ask, crossing your arms across your chest. Nakia's gaze was like knife blades cutting into you. "Yourself."
  7. You and Nakia stare at each other for a long time. You let her words sink in slowly, Trying to make sense of them. In a way a part of you knew Nakia wasn't going to be the one to tell Raven, you and her were too close. After a while she spoke, moving closer to you. "You really have no idea what happened do you?" You shook your head. "You were mind tricked." You frown. You've never heard of that happening. Well, you've read about it in books and stuff but never of it happening to you or anyone else around you. You thought back to the orange haired girl, and to how you felt. It clicked into place. The questions still remained; what was she and what did she mind trick you into doing? You asked Nakia one of the two questions. "What was she exactly?" The anger of the two of you had drained out and seeped down into the dirt below your feet. Nakia was now in front of you, close enough to touch. "I don't know. There's far too many of them to know anymore. Especially on the opposing side." Everyone you knew made it sound like it was a sport. One side vs the other. You guessed that it was the only way to explain it. You nod slowly, still slightly dazed and confused. You guessed nothing had changed and Nakia was just a bit paranoid. After another long silence, you spoke up. "I guess we should see what time it is. Renee might want us to go back early and help with more pranks." Nakia agreed and got out her phone, calling your little sister. After the phone call, she turned back to you. "Yeah, she said to teleport to the bathroom. She also said the boys have turned the place upside down searching for you guys. Also that weird things are going on.." Her voice trailed off and your stomach turned a bit. "I really hoped she isn't siding with the boys." You said and Nakia smiled a little. April had disappeared now. You didn't worry too much about it; she always did this. Nakia's naturally warm hand slipped into your cold one and you shut your eyes briefly, feeling the shift in the air and warmth. When you opened your eyes you were standing in the small bathroom. Nakia was in the bathtub and you were standing in front of her. The light was already turned on so you figured Renee hid away in here while Nakia was talking to her. She didn't have her own phone, so you figured Nakia called one of the girls. You brought your index finger to your lips and turned off the light. Nakia had more acute senses than you did, so you relied on her to make sure nobody was coming, that she could hear of. "It's clear, go out." You didn't really know where you were supposed to go, but you figured you'd just roam around, watching everyone's moves. You slowly opened the door and walked out, Nakia right behind you. You could hear talking coming from the front of the house and you inched near it. You could hear frustrated voices. "Look, obviously we can't leave the house. We only have an hour left. They'll turn up." It was Alex's voice. "I'm going to ask one more time, if this is a prank, just say it is. Because it's not funny anymore." That was Atreyu's voice. You could hear Nakia start to snicker quietly under her breath. In a way, you felt bad, doing this to the boys. For all they knew you two could be dead. Well, at least that's probably what they thought. "Thanks for the lack of trust," You hear Phoenix say. You didn't know if any of the other girls knew, but maybe they did. "Well, what are we supposed to think? It's Prank Week and suddenly, you all say, 'Oh, __________ and Renee think that Prank Week is childish and immature so, we're just not going to do it. But, it's Renee's late birthday party and she wants to do some dangerous game that involves a demon that may or may not be made up-." this time it was Fang talking and his voice got cut off by a loud banging noise coming from the back of the house. You and Nakia exchanged a look and quickly started backing away from the living room. "What was that?" Lilah asks, her voice serious. She probably thought you guys had knocked something down. But, it wasn't you. "Come on, let's go check it out." Alex orders and you and Nakia quickly open up the first door you saw, which wasn't such a good idea because it was a small closet. It was cramped and dark and humid. You could hear the numerous footsteps as they passed, and a faint purple glow was coming from the closet. You thought it was Nakia's phone, but than you realized it was coming from under your shirt. "Nakia?" You whispered and felt your neck. You felt a cold thin metal chain and pulled it gently up from out of your shirt. Your whole body froze as Nakia put her hand on your shoulder. It was Janise's necklace, the one that was in your pocket. "___________-." Nakia started and you held up your hand. You swallowed and tore your gaze from the cursed object. Looking up at Nakia's beautiful bone structured face, you whispered, "What have I done?" A thought ran through your head of what Nakia said earlier, 'You've just started a war.'
