You left off brainstorming a way to get out with Annie, Fannie, Danni, and Trace. Now, Trace seems to be key to your plan...

  1. "It's impossible!" He began. "Yes, I can get in... but not without her knowing and without her knowing what I did in there. There is only one way I could get in their without her knowledge, and that would be that she was too preoccupied with another problem." I thought for a minute, and then an idea occurred to me. "She's killed many correct?" "Yes." "Where are they?" "Either trophies in her rooms or buried beneath the dungeon." "Great. If I can do something... something that can pull away her attention. Will you get the red vial?" He nodded. I took a breathe. "Sweet. Now we need a plan." "Well, what do you need?" Fannie asked, the excitement glowing in her yellow eyes. "I need to be presentable... dark and presentable... and I need to be entirely alone without any disturbances for who knows how long." Annie nodded. "Because I am your head maid I can give her a tidbit of false information that she will believe. So far, she hasn't figured out how to tell when a siren tells a lie. That can distract her for a while." "And once that is over I can create problems within the dungeons, I treat many of the prisoners there, that will occupy her further if need be." Dani added. "And I can help you set up everything you need." Fannie chirped. I nodded, "This is great girls, thank you. Trace... can you have Talon guard my doorway? Many are too afraid of him to even come near him." "I can have him do this. As for me I can say there is an assassination rumor that I need to remedy, therefore no one will question Talon's position and Steph won't use me to solve her other problems, so that she'll do it herself." Trace said grimly. "This is so great guys... if this works, and you get the vial... can you bring Faye back with you too?" Trace grunted a yes. I watched the three leave and Fannie took me to help me get over the remaining bits of this pain.
  2. When Fannie was finished and all her medicines healed the remainder of my pains... She helped me dress into somber dress. It was...
  3. Fannie stepped back to look at what I wore. "What is it you plan on?" She asked nervously. I dismissed the question with a shake of my head. "Push back all the furniture as far as possible. Then place the chair in the middle of the room. Don't ask why, I just feel as if this should be done." She did as I asked, her strength allowed her to do it with grace and ease. Something I just realized to appreciate. 'I hope this works....' "Please leave Fannie. Thank you." I told her. "Good luck _____." She told me with a gentle touch of her hand. When she left I noticed Talon positioning himself in front of the door. 'So it begins.' I turned of the lights and sat in the chair. I took a breath and reached out with my mind. I tried many things. First I called... then I asked, I pleaded, simply talked, and even chanted rhymes. Nothing proved successful. Right when I began to feel hopeless, a deep feeling arouse in my stomach. I then knew what I was to do. I put my hand on my stomach and pulled out. Following my hand was the only source of light in the room, my tattoo of night. The moon glowed a shimmery black, and slightly pulsed. I pushed it up to my mouth and kissed it. It turned into a swirling black smoke and filled my nose and mouth. I then left my body. I was the same as usual, only made of smoke. I turned to see me sitting there, my eyes as black as the space around me. I could hear whispers in the distant. Sad, angry, and desperate whispers. I followed the sound. I passed through the walls, and passed by many living servants. They could not see me, I knew that, but I could see the fear in their eyes. They felt something near them, something they feared. Again, I knew it was me they felt. I continued to the sound, going deeper and deeper into the castle. I passed Dani at one point unlocking a cell door. I did not bother to hesitate a moment though. I finally came to a large black door, one with carvings from a language I did not know. The carvings hit a nerve within me and I shivered. I went through the door and I knew I had reached my destination. Within the walls were graves after graves. The whispers rose from within them. "Rise." I spoke out. My voice a whisper with such wisdom within it I could not believe it to be mine. It sounded like a mixture of my own voice and the woman from the dream. From the graves groans and sounds I did not recognize came to my ears. I stood at the door and watched as spirits of different shapes and sizes rose from the ground. They seemed to be replicas of their living bodies, their injuries that killed them looked as fresh as if they were just issued. Their eyes were as black as mine, and they were of smoke as I was. Specters from other rooms came forth and joined those before me. One man came forth, I assumed the chosen spokesman. He wore the armor of an ancient warrior you'd see in a story book. He looked to be the equal of a human, only, literally skin and bones. His skin a darkened grey. Around his throat I could see abrasions, he must have been hanged. "So, you now are the guardian of the night." He rasped in a whisper that lingered in the air around me. "Young you are, not something I value. Or the rest of the dead. We have not moved on because that devilish woman trapped our spirits in our bodies, she's taken from us the choice of a final existence beyond the realms. We will do what is necessary to bring her down, but only for the rightful leader. That is not you." He turned and began to walk away. "And exactly why not me." I growled, a confidence grew in me from an origin I could not find. He turned and before I knew it his breathe was hitting my face and his nose nearly touched mine. "You are a human girl spoiled by night herself. A spoiled girl is a stupid girl." I pushed him back and growled, "I am no spoiled girl. Raised in one of the hardest lives possible in my realm. And as for you, a stubborn leader is a doomed leader." Behind him whispers began to emerge. "Look at you girl! You come to us dressed as if we are evil creatures! I cannot find any reason to follow a girl that looks down upon us as pawns." I snorted. "I dress like this for a number of reasons. One is to respect who have fallen to a being who is utterly cruel. Another is to demand the simple task of obedience. The last is to mourn your untimely passing for you should not have. I merely ask your assistance to prevent more of your dilemma, and through her defeat, I can set you free! I do not demand your service, I cannot force you to do anything. My gifts only allow me to speak with you, what you do with my words is of your own accord." When I finished, utter silence rung in my ears. A figure that I noticed appear from another room stepped forward. I then made out that it was a girl with striking similarities to Leo. Her heart seemed to be cut from her body. "I believe that this girl has every right to ask our assistance, and I think it wise to follow her." Her voice strong, even as a whisper. I recognized the signs of respect around me as she spoke, she must have been powerful. In fact, that must be why she would be a 'trophy' in The Queen's rooms. Many begin to nod their heads in approval and agreement. The man before me recognized what was to be done next. "What do you need us to do?" He asked. "I need you to rise from your graves physically, I need you to make such a problem for The Queen that she cannot do anything but focus all of your energies on you." All nodded. "This requires a great amount of energy that cannot be done within centuries of each other, you know this?" I nodded when the man finished. Before me the spirits returned to their graves. The last one to do so was the girl. "Ask Leo of me when you return. You should know, and he should understand that I will always love him. As for Bekorre, the man, he was testing you. You proved yourself valiantly. We will take care of this, and I will never stop watching over you." At this, she vanished behind a wall.
  4. I took a breathe and closed my eyes. With a slightly painful snap, I found myself back in my body. My eyes flew open and the smoke was leaving my body. It formed the moon and disappeared on my stomach. I ran over and turned on the lights. I sank to the floor, all of my confidence had flown. My whole body shook as I sat there in shock and fear. The door opened and the three girls entered, followed by Talon. Sounds of screams and shouts followed by growls, moans, and shrieks flowed in from the hallways. Talon shut the door and all of them looked at the door in fear. "Did you do this?" Fannie asked. My head went up and down slowly, still recovering. A few agonizing moments passed, but Trace did not come. I stood. "Do you think he played me...?" I said mostly to myself. Talon snorted and stomped his foot. "I don't think so ______, you don't see how he looks at you." Annie said slowly. As if on cue, Trace burst into the room, Faye over his shoulder and a necklace around his now bare chest. I gasped with concern to see his cuts and he ignored it. He put Faye onto the bed and looked at me. "You did that?" He asked astonished. I nodded. "Well you must have forgotten to mention who's side I was on." He said slightly irritated motioning to the clear gashes down his abs. "Let me fix them!" Fannie said. He snapped around in anger ready to scold her, but his eyes softened. 'She must have grown on him.' "Fannie, later. I am trained to handle pain and injuries much greater than this. First, let's get ____ to safety." He said softly. They each turned to me waiting for me to do something with the vial. I closed my eyes and tried to remember what it was I was supposed to say. My eyes opened and I told every one to hold on to me. They did and I took Faye's arm. "Heat, blaze, and flame, it'd be one feat to take me from my fear filled daze and all the blame." I said this and pulled the bottle from the cork. A sudden enveloping breathe of heat flew over us. My eyes blinded by hues of a flame.
  5. Before me blackness suddenly appeared. When my eyes adjusted, the familiar sight of Leo's room grew into view. I smiled and dropped to my knees in happiness. Around me stood everyone that I planned bring. I stood and took Faye into my arms. She was as light as a feather. I left the room and started down the hallway. Everyone followed me, but obviously on edge and wary of where they were. I walked into the main hallway and I found Ulanti, Leo, and Christian. They each looked at me in shock. Ulanti was the first to come to her senses. She screamed Faye's name and bounded to me in relief, worry, and happiness. I gave her Faye and watched as she groomed her wounds and quickly take her away to who knows where. The two boys began to smile but that was when everyone appeared behind me from around the corner. I watched as anger flared up in their eyes, and they changed to true form. Christian dove for Talon, trapping him under his enormous claws, and Leo encircled Trace in flames that looked entirely out of control from rage, his spear drawn out as he approached Trace. The three girls collapsed to the floor in fear and I screamed. I tried to push of Christian, when that failed I ran to Leo. I stood in his way and I told him to stop. He just pushed me aside and continued. His push was a bit harder than he intended and I land on the floor hard. I burst into tears out of desperation. I pleaded with the two of them, begging for them to stop, tears streaming off my face. Reluctantly, they stopped trying to kill them, but did not release them from the traps. From behind me Wequest ran into view. He uttered such a low and menacing growl at the two of them that even I was frightened. They each backed off. Anger flared in their eyes.
  6. Talon rose with malice in his eyes, glares shooting at Leo and Christian. He strode to Trace and stood in front of him defensively. Wequest trotted over to help me up. He licked off my tears. "Explain later my dear. As of now, I will trust what you ask. Our guests will be treated to as fit. Once all are healed, including poor Faye, and we are all gathered, that is when you will begin." He said gently. I hugged his face, traumatized. He turned to the five, all standing together now, and said, "Follow me. I will show you to rooms that you should all be comfortable in. Now, I trust _____, but not you. You are welcome here until you try one harmful action, even thought. But as of now, you are guests." He walked off, and they each followed him. I took of my heels and ran to my room. When I closed the door of my room I saw the hurt faces of Christian and Leo. I felt bad, but I was extremely frightened and confused. I couldn't comfort anyone now but myself. I took a looong shower and dressed in....
  7. I walked out to the dining room to find everyone sitting there. Faye was physically healed, but not emotionally. Ulanti sat fussing over her. The triplets sat close together, chins high. Trace sat with angry eyes set on his thumbs. Talon closely watching Leo and Christian. Christian and Leo glared at Trace and Talon, and looked at me with sad smiles. Reed greeted me with a smile in eyes and Oliver sat with a huge grin. As for Epron, he greeted me with such enthusiasm, I giggled. Wequest helped me into my chair at the head of the table and asked me to begin. I started, explaining everything, but the mushy stuff between me and Trace. I wouldn't share that with anyone. I explained with extreme detail of everything, all but Faye that is. I wasn't going to stress her and Ulanti more than necessary. When I finished a dead silence hung over our heads. I slumped in my chair and stared blankly at the table before me. Then....
