  1. Hi. I have a problem, and I need some help to sort it out. Although I know I should be asking my friends to help me but I couldn't because of the fear they'll make fun of me, and besides, sometimes it's better to ask complete strangers than friends and family.
  2. I'm a black girl, and we've immigrated from Kenya to the States. At first, I had issues adjusting here, but luckily, I met very sweet people at school who helped me adjust. Unfortunately, same was not the case for all.
  3. There were some white guys in my school who apparently had issues with my race, but I've forgotten about it now. What's past is past. However, for the last few months, I'm forced to think over it again. There's a guy in my school. He's very handsome, but decent too which I say is very rare these days, especially for a guy. We share a few classes, and I think I've started to like him. Like really, really much. I'm infatuated perhaps, I don't know, but whatever it is, it's not easy for me to get over it. I've not even ever talked to him, and I try forgetting him, but I couldn't.
  4. I'm afraid he'll reject me, only because I'm black and he's white, and my only experience with white guys is with those mean ones. I fear he may turn out like them. Although he has never expressed racism, one couldn't be sure. Besides, how could I be sure he's okay with a black girl?
  5. That's what I'm telling myself for a couple of months, but the situation has turned completely helpless. I wish to forget about him, but I can't, and that's what is eating me from inside. So, what should I do? Forget about him and move on or tell him about my feelings, and suffer humiliation and embarrassment afterwards?
