  • I'm not even a native English speaker and I got inland north. For me, all these words in the quiz sound differently. How can anyone pronounce them the same way?

  • Kantuno, snookums-i sure wish that I could get into a good collage. Art IS my thing, but I'd be all pasty and /or glu-ey. On the other hand, I went to Columbia University in NY which is a pretty pre-tt-y good college.

That's COLLEGE dumb one. Learn to spel.

  • I'll join the STN. I have an average north central accent, does that count as boston? Thats what I got, but people tell me that I'm average. I have a hint of an cicilian and irish accent, and also a tennesee and north central accent. So my mouth is a mutt.

  • Funny but this quiz says my accent is "Midland" and the part that is funny is I'm a California girl (born, raised and still living in California (San Diego).

  • The test said I have a Boston accent; however, I currently live in and grew up in Los Angeles. It isn't the first time I've been told I have a Boston or New England accent.

  • The test was pretty accurate about me too. I am from Atlanta, so I have a pretty middle of the road accent. BTW, who the hell rhymes "bag" with "vague"? Never heard that kind of accent

  • Uh, I had to retake it twice because some of the answers were like, "Yeah, well it depends..."

And I got North East the first time and South the next. Its wierd, I grew up in the south but everyone in my family is from the North East so I guess I'm at an inbetween...

Also i dont see how the western accent is "neutral" not only do they have a strong accent they have a weird dialect like saying "pop" instead of soda, c'mon it says soda on the can!

  • What American Accent Do You Have?

Took the quiz and the results were 1/2 way across the nation.....stating my accent was North Central/Minnesotan, when in actuality it's a BOSTON accent!

  • I was said to be from the north central area. I now live in South Dakota, spent over a decade in Indiana, but grew up near Boston. Pretty close I would say if not right on.

  • Well this was spot-on. I'm from Texas and it said I have a southern accent all the way. I live in Wyoming now and ppl are always asking me where I'm from because they say it's obvious that I'm not from here....but I don't think I sound that different...

  • I live in Winnipeg, Canada about 4 hours north of Fargo.

Now I understand why everyone in the States is baffled by how I speak. I thought I sounded 'normal' this whole time. =)

  • Sorry, completely wrong. I was said to be from Inland North but I grew up in Texas, and have been here most of my life. I just try to speak with care, and always have. In fact, I don't think on rhymes with dawn OR don.

  • I'm from Washington and it says I have a mid-land accent. I actually was born in Florida so I guess it was right because it said it could also be Florida.

  • I knew I should go to Chicago but it's cold there :/ I'll go to New York, although I don't have a NY accent...but it's cld there too. So, California is the only choice. But chances are I'll never go there so I'll stick with Greece...

  • I got midland? Huh, I live in the west though. At least west was in second place. I also noticed that it mentioned that it was where my mother was raised so that might be the reasoning.
