Goodbye, Hogwarts (music826)

It's been really fun writing this series. I've always been a huge fan of the books and when the series ended, I felt like I'd lost a friend. This kind of gave me the opportunity to delve farther in the Harry Potter world, and I met so many great people while doing it. So, thank you :)

  1. To put it simply, this is the end. It's not really goodbye, as I will continue to read your brilliant works, but I'm done writing here. Any future works that I may decide to share (not in the foreseeable future) will be posted on Wattpad. I have some vague ideas, but for now I need to focus on my academics and the like.
  2. Well, I sincerely hope you enjoyed my story. I don't think romance and/or fanfiction are really my areas of writing expertise, so this was really just something I wanted to test out. If nothing else, this experience gave me an appreciation for how much dedication it takes to finish a story, even in a fan fiction setting. I know there were gaping plot holes and ill-developed characters and plenty of loose ties, but I tried to make it work for the short time that I had to finish. As some have told me before, I think I may have been the first to finish one of these particular quiz series. So if that's true, it IS actually possible to finish one of these. XD But I really don't know for sure, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
  3. Since this is the end of the series, I finally get to make excuses for everything I felt I didn't do well enough on. Firstly, I'm so sorry @rnckenzie and @hp4evr. I didn't forget about the characters, but I just couldn't figure where to create space for them. They sort of hovered in the background for the whole of the last two years, which I really hadn't intended for them. Secondly, with the items your grandmother gave you for your thirteenth birthday (about a century ago in the very first edition), I just couldn't find a way to make them important to the story. I had ideas initially, but by the time I got to seventh year they just seemed ridiculous. And lastly, I had plans to expand far more on Quidditch and life at the castle in seventh year and pretty much everything I skipped over, but perhaps it's better this way. Fan fictions are meant to be somewhat concise. Anyway, as always I'd like to send some shout-outs to some of my most devout and supportive readers.
  4. I must have mentioned this one at least five or six times already, but thank you @hp4evr. You are, simply put, awesome. And as overused as the word "awesome" is, I really mean it. I asked for ideas and you didn't hesitant to offer them. You gave me a great character and most of all, you gave me constant support and help when I needed it. And you never neglected to leave a comment on every edition that had me smiling like an idiot. I absolutely love your writing style as well. Take a piece of virtual toast on me. ;)
  5. @vulturemonem, thank you for all of the detailed and constructive comments. It was quite invaluable to me when you pointed out something that you didn't think was completely right, yet you also gave me plenty of compliments that kept me going with every edition. It's definitely nice hearing that I managed to switch you to Draco in this series, even though you were never really a fan of him. I also really look forward to the next editions in your own series! Thank you :)
  6. @liz_king97 Oh, what can I say? There is basically one word to sum this up – Ron. XD I loved your sweet, often hilarious comments and it was certainly a loss for GTQ when you had to disappear for the summer. I hope to see you back and writing soon! :)
  7. @bananabread I didn't really get to know you all that well, but the comments you left were extremely motivating and sweet. I couldn't help but smile every time I read one of them. I hope you continue to write as well! :) Oh, and @Milkyway62, I met you near the end of the series, but I'd really just like to say thank you for the support as well. Good luck with your future writing endeavors!
  8. I'm just going to rapid fire anyone who has ever commented on one of my editions (at this point). Sorry if I missed anyone! @cmmbarrelracing, @JessicaLestrange, @vulturemonem, @HarryPotter_1D, @Mirimichelle, @liz_king97, @mcqueen, @AmazingUsername, @BladeLeviosa8814, @HogwartsLove, @shawna B, @505peaches, @Elephant revival, @Imme, @hp4evr, @Yachiru Kurosaki, @booklover412/@bananabread, @Ruri Ayasegawa, @rnichelle, @LovelyTeenWriter, @natuhleegayle, @Milkyway62. Comments are pretty much what kept me going for each and every edition, so I thank you. Every word helps!
  9. And last but certainly not least, anyone who has ever read one of my editions. Whether you liked it or not, you gave it a shot and that's good enough for me. :)
  10. So, I guess that's all I wanted to say. I guess now I'd like to hear from you, the readers. What did you like/dislike about the series? What could I have done better? And the ever-present question – Neville, Draco, Harry, George, Ron, or Oliver? And feel free to leave any questions about, well, anything really in the comments. Since @natuhleegayle was the one who first introduced me to fan fiction (literally, I hadn't the slightest clue what it was), I feel compelled to end this off in her words. Stay Magical. :)
