Maeve looked up at her, giving a small smile. ‘I know,’ she mumbled, snuggling into her arms. ‘I dunno, it’s just different. I love you.’ -

“Why is it different?” Lavender asked gently. She wondered if it was different because Maeve loved her. If that made it harder to admit her problems. Or maybe Lavender was the problem, and she couldn’t admit that to her. Lavender held her close.
(Ikr I love them) -
(nO wE dOnT (yes we do I love them I’ll never neglect them again))
‘I don’t want you to think I’m stupid. O-Or weird,’ Maeve said quietly, looking up at her. ‘It’s not just with you, I just haven’t been able to lately. I’ll try to talk about them if you want.’ -
(YeS wE dO (exactly THANK YOUUUUU))
“I’d never think you’re stupid or weird.” Lavender frowned, holding her closer. Lavender highly doubted Maeve could be stupider or weirder than she was. “I’d love for you to feel comfortable enough to tell me about your feelings, but it’s up to you.” -
‘That could change, though,’ Maeve mumbled. She played with Lavender’s hair, sighing softly. ‘I’ll try.’
-
Lavender frowned. “You’re the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. I’d never think of you as anything less than that.” She leaned into her touch.
-
Maeve blushed lightly. ‘I highly doubt it. But thanks,’ she said quietly, running her fingers through her hair.
-
“Why would you doubt it?” Lavender asked softly, snuggling into her.
-
‘I’m not that great,’ Maeve said with a weak chuckled, snuggling closer. ‘I’d be, like, third greatest. At best.’
-
“You are that great.” Lavender hooked a finger under her chin. “I’m nothing until you’re around. You make me feel like I’m actually worth something, like I’m not just a pretty face.” Lavender didn’t add that she wasn’t even that pretty of a face. That was its own conversation.
-
Maeve blushed lightly at the touch. ‘That’s not true at all! You’re amazing, Lav, and you always have been!’ She frowned and cupped Lavender’s face, gazing into her eyes. ‘You have a very pretty face. God, you’re worth so much that I’m not worthy of you at all,’
-
“It is true!” Lavender protested, blushing bright red at her touch, looking up at her beautiful eyes. “I’ve never been anything until I met you, and you’re worth so much more than an unstable bakery girl.”
-
‘Not even the prettiest, kindest, most emotionally intelligent president of the world would be worthy of you, because there’s no such thing as prettier and kinder and amazinger than you,’ Maeve said, holding her face. ‘I’m only worth a tiny bit more than a penny because I’m a princess! You’re everything a person worthy of love is!’
