Maeve blushed bright red. ‘I’m in love with you too,’ she said, beaming.

Lavender sat up slightly, cupping Maeve’s chin in her hand gently. “Are you sure?” She asked, half joking.

‘Of course! You’re perfect!’ Maeve said, leaning into her touch.

“I am not perfect. You’ve got the wrong girl.” Lavender looked down at her lips, then back up at her eyes.

‘Well, you’re perfect for me,’ Maeve said, blushing harder at her gaze. ‘In fact, you’re much better than what I deserve.’

“Bulls---. You deserve the world.” Lavender rubbed her thumb on Maeve’s cheek gently.

‘And you’re better than every universe combined,’ Maeve said, leaning into her touch.

“I couldn’t make it any harder for you to love me.” Lavender mumbled, looking down at her lips again. She should just shut up and kiss her, instead of talking about how awful of a girlfriend she was...
She looked up at Maeve’s eyes again, hoping she didn’t notice the staring. -
Maeve sat up a little and hovered over her, cupped her face, gazing into her eyes. ‘You make it very easy with how awesome you are,’ she said, kissing her nose.

Lavender blushed bright red, sinking into her touch. “Can you look at me like this forever? She whispered, thinking out loud.

Maeve giggled, kissing her nose again. ‘If you want,’ she said, grinning.

Lavender had a lovestruck grin on her face, looking into her beautiful eyes. “Can I kiss you?” She asked quietly. “I know I don’t usually ask, but I….” She trailed off.

‘Of course,’ Maeve said, blushing. ‘You can always kiss me.’

Lavender beamed, cupping Maeve’s chin in her hand gently, and kissing her, closing her eyes.
