Maeve blushed harder. ‘Yeah, well, you’re just wrong,’ she huffed, but was smiling. She snuggled close. ‘I quietly think you’re the best too.’

Lavender rolled her eyes. “I’m not the best, we both know that. But thank you.”

‘Well, I think you’re the best, and that’s all that matters,’ Maeve giggled, snuggling close.

“It is not! My opinions matter!”

‘Of course it does, but mine isn’t going to change!’

“Mine isn’t either, because I’m right!”

‘No you’re not!’

“Am too!”

‘An opinion isn’t a fact!’

“It is when it’s this obviously true! It’s like saying spiders are gross.”

‘Spiders aren’t gross! They’re trying their best, Lav!’

“They are so gross! They’ll stare at me for no reason!” Lavender leaned into her.

‘I stare at you for no reason, but apparently I’m the prettiest girl ever!’

“Because you’re pretty! Spiders aren’t pretty.” Lavender pecked her lips. “You’re way better than a spider.”

Maeve blushed. ‘Oh, shush,’ she mumbled, but was smiling.
