Lavender and Maeve
Thread Topic: Lavender and Maeve
-
Lavender abandoned her counter, walking out the door. "Hey." She muttered.
-
‘Hi,’ Maeve mumbled, avoiding her gaze.
-
Lavender looked at her, trying to read her expression. "Why have you been avoiding me?"
-
‘I’ve been busy,’ Maeve lied.
-
"Busy doing what? Actually showing up to school?" Lavender wished she didn't say anything.
-
Maeve had definitely not been showing up to school. ‘… yeah.’
-
"Totally. It has nothing to do with the fact that you don't want to see me." Lavender muttered, leaning against the wall. She looked down at her shoes.
-
Maeve frowned, looking at her. ‘I just needed time alone.’
-
(it's been nearly a week now, I've decided, I am god)
"You can't just disappear for a week!" Lavender argued, avoiding her gaze. If Maeve could manage to avoid her for almost a week, Lavender could refuse making eye contact with her for a few minutes. -
(help ok god whatever you say diva all hail aylecks)
‘Well, I’m sorry, I needed some privacy! You don’t need to be so clingy!’ Maeve exclaimed, still watching her. She immediately regretted her words. She knew it was unfair; she’d hate being ghosted for a week too; but she was too prideful to admit it. -
(LMAO ty pookie)
Lavender glared at the ground when she said the last sentence. How the hell was I supposed to know what happened to you?! She exhaled sharply. "Why are you here? To stare at me through the glass and then go back to avoiding me?" -
(You’re very welcome god)
‘I wanted to apologise for not visiting you,’ Maeve muttered, looking away for a moment, then focusing her gaze back on her. -
"Wow, great apology." Lavender huffed. She knew she was being rude, but she didn't care. Maeve went radio silent for a week and then yelled at her for being clingy. She could afford to be an a--hole for a little bit.
-
‘You’re welcome,’ Maeve mumbled. ‘What was I supposed to do? You didn’t even tell me what I did wrong!’
-
Lavender buried her head in her hands for a moment, pulling at some of her hair in the front. "I have to go back to my job." She muttered. "You can keep staring if you want, or go back to isolating yourself. Apparently I can't tell you that's stupid without being overly clingy." She walked to the door.
