Chester smiled. ‘Don’t look so conflicted, Cleverly! Everything will be fine!’ -
"B-but, this is madness!" Cleverly complained. Jayd frowned.

‘I’m going to need you to elaborate, Cleverly. I’ve always been fairly mad.’

Cleverly sighed. "What if we send troops and end up losing the war? We'd lose too many soldiers!"

Chester took a moment to respond. ‘Then we send all of our troops,’ he decided. ‘If we still lose, sure, we’re screwed.’

"And you're just going to let that happen?!" Cleverly's eyes widened. Jayden frowned.
"You're not allowed to send all your troops." He said quietly. -
‘I’m king, my love, of course I’m allowed,’ Chester said, looking back at Cleverly. ‘Fine, on the rare occasion we lose, we’ll keep 10% of our soldiers and send the rest. Happy?’

Cleverly didn't look happy. At all.
"I think that's the best deal you're gonna get." Jayd told him. "Sorry." -
Chester nodded. ‘It is.’
Cleverly sighed. ‘Sire, you’ve grown… irresponsible, lately. I just think-‘
Chester glared. ‘What is it, Cleverly?’ -
Jayden looked at Chester, leaning into him. "Hey, relax." He said quietly.

Chester relaxed, but just a little. Cleverly sighed.
‘You’ve just been very distracted lately. Your work ethic has been very poor the last few weeks, sire.’
Chester’s nostrils flared. ‘What are you trying to say?’ -
Jayd frowned, grabbing Chester's hand.

‘I’m just saying, maybe we need to discuss… um…’ Cleverly looked at Jayden. Getting on two king’s nerves wouldn’t be wise. ‘W-Well…’

Jayden raised an eyebrow. "Well go on, spit it out. What does my boyfriend need to discuss with you?"

‘Maybe, cutting out certain distractions. It would be wise for your kingdom.’
