'Will be?' Chester questioned. 'Why aren't you now?'

“It…. It’s nothing.” Jayden sighed. “He just… kinda got to me, I guess.”

Chester caressed his cheek, kissing his forehead. 'Do you want to talk about it?'

Jayd blushed, looking up at him. “No, we’ve got enough to worry about with this contract.” He said quietly.

'Are you sure?'

Jayd gave a small nod. “Yeah. Don’t worry about me.” He gave a weak smile to try and prove he was fine.

Chester pursed his lips but nodded. 'Alright.'

Jayden looked at the contract, then up at Chester. “Anything else you want to change?”

Chester shook his head. A servant scrambled into the room.
'I'm sorry for being so late, sire,' he said, bowing. -
Jayd looked at the servant, giving a real smile this time. He looked back up at Chester.

'Ah, yes. Get this reprinted with my corrections,' Chester said, passing the contract to the servant.

The servant took the paper, examining it to make sure nothing too unreasonable was being edited on it. “Of course, sire.” He said after a moment, leaving.

Chester smiled and looked back at Jayden.

Jayd smiled back. “Any other boring treaty stuff?”

Chester shook his head. 'Just the signing tomorrow, in front of my kingdom. Then you have to...' He trailed off, face falling. 'Leave.'
