"We will." Jayd smiled.

Chester smiled weakly.

Jayden opened the door to the kitchen for Chester.

Chester walked inside, utterly humiliated.

Maeve was already sitting down. She looked up and her eyes widened.

‘Don’t say anything,’ Chester grumbled, sitting down with great difficulty.

Maeve raised an eyebrow, but listened- for once- and didn't say anything.

Chester folded his wings against his sides.

Patton came with the food and his eyes widened when he saw Chester.

Chester huffed. His wings unfolded and covered his face.

Jayden tried to stifle his chuckles. It didn't work well. "Thank you Patton."

Patton nodded and walked back into the kitchen, looking bewildered.

Jayd grabbed some of the waffles. He didn't know if it'd be rude to offer some waffles to Chester or not.

Chester didn’t uncover his face.
