Chester took something out of his green overcoat, which had flowers embroidered in the collar, exhaling. He kissed the side of Jayden’s head with a small smile and shifted his position so he was kneeling beside the blond, small box in hand. ‘U-Uhm, I needed to ask you something…’

Jayden noticed the small box, and his boyfriend kneeling. "Oh my god." He murmured.

Chester smiled nervously as he looked at Jayden and begun talking. He’d had a script, but had forgotten about it when they walked out.
‘Jayden, you are the light of my life. Y-You’ve made me feel things that scare me in the best way possible. I realised, uhm, I saw what you’d do just to keep me, what you’d sacrifice, and I realised that I’d do the exact same for you. I’ve been a solitary man for years, I-I knew that you were different when I wanted your company more than my own. When I loved you so much I forgot what hating myself felt like. You’re the kindest, most beautiful soul, and I want to spend the rest of my life loving you, if you’ll let me. Y-You will always be the one I long for, and you deserve everything good, and I want to be the one to give it to you. S-So, Jayden Celeste, will you marry me?’ He spoke that last part rather meekly, and held up the box - a dark blue one with golden engravings - to reveal a ring. It was gold-banded, with six small jewels placed in order: a ruby, an orange garnet, a citrine, an emerald, a sapphire, and an amethyst. -

Jayden kneeled next to him, grinning from ear to ear. "Of course." He said happily, kissing him. -
Chester beamed in happiness and relief and immediately kissed him back, free arm wrapping around him immediately. When they finally broke apart, he slid the ring onto Jayden’s finger.
‘I love you,’ he said.’ -
"I love you too." Jayden didn't stop grinning, leaning into him.

Chester beamed and hugged him close, wobbling on his place on his knees, and falling backwards. He took Jayden with him, and the two laid on the grass, holding each other as the sun continued to set.

Jayden hugged him close. "I love you."

‘I love you too. I love you, I love you, I love you,’ Chester murmured, holding him close to him, shutting his eyes tight as he buried his face in his hair.

Jayden grinned. "You're the best."
