The carriage ride wasn’t too long, and they arrived about early afternoon. Chester’s head was in Jayden’s lap, and he was curled up on the set beside him, sleeping.

Jayden held him close, looking out at the scenery.

Chester stirred when they arrived and the servants begun loading their trunks into the house.
It was on the edge of a small cliff, overlooking the forest, surrounded by trees and a small pond, -
Jayden’s jaw dropped as he looked at the beautiful scenery. “Woah.”

Chester looked up at Jayden, a dreamy smile on his face as he admired the blond above him. ‘Are we there yet?’

Jayden kissed the top of his head. “Yeah, we’re here.”

Chester smiled, snuggling close. He sat up and pecked Jayden’s cheek. ‘Come, I’ll show you around.’

Jayden grinned, following him. “Lead the way~”

Chester offered him his arm with a grin and walked inside.

Jayden followed him happily.

Chester opened the door for him with a smile. The house was large and open, walls made from wood, floor decorated with carpets and walls with paintings, some obviously made by children.

Jayden grinned, looking around. “Can we move here?”

Chester chuckled, pulling him close. ‘I’ll think about it,’ he teased. On the inside, he was racked with nerves. He’d decided to propose that evening, in the sunset.

Jayden beamed, leaning further into him.

Chester kissed the side of his head and lead him to their room. The servants had set their trunks near the queen-sized bed, which had patterned sheets much too bright for Chester’s tastes.
