‘Feeling better?’ Jordan asked him, putting a hand on his arm. ‘I didn’t realise you got… y’know. What happened?’ -

“I had to get r*ped by Benji in order to get the ashblood from Astrid to save Chester’s life.” Jayden said quickly, still packing. -
Jordan paled. ‘You.. what? I didn’t think that would happen..’

Jayden turned to look at her. The phrasing tripped him up. “What did you think was going to happen?”

Jordan’s eyes widened. ‘Nothing. Just, uh, I didn’t realise it would end up like that,’ she said quietly.

“Why are you acting strange?”

‘I’m not acting strange…’

Jayden frowned. “What are you hiding?”

Jordan avoided his gaze. ‘It was me who poisoned Chester,’ he said quietly, wringing her hands.

“You WHAT?!” Jayden looked up at her in horror. “Why would you do that?!”

'A-Astrid told me to,' Jordan mumbled. 'I thought that if Chester was out of the picture, you could be with me, and you'd forget all about him.'

“You were going to kill my boyfriend! Why would I ever be with a-“ he was about to finish the sentence with murderer but realized how that argument would go. “You’re insane, Jordan.”

'I thought you wouldn't care! You'd be so happy being my boyfriend that you wouldn't be mourning him!'
