Jordan sat on the edge of the bed, putting her hand on his shoulder. ‘You need to stop worrying so much,’ she murmured, rubbing his arm. ‘Stop wallowing about Chester maybe dying and come have fun with me,’ she said, completely misunderstanding.

Jayden shuffled away, burying his head in his blanket. “I just need to be alone for a bit, Jordan.”

‘Okay, I’ll tell any servants not to come in,’ Jordan said. She laid down behind him and snuggled up to his back. ‘C’mon, Astrid gave you the Ashblood, didn’t he?’

Jayden sighed, too tired to get pissed off at this point. “Yeah, he did.”

‘Then what’s there to be sad about?’ Jordan wrapped her arms around his waist. ‘What did Chester do this time?’

Jayden pulled away. “He didn’t do anything.” He mumbled. “Jordan, can I be left alone please?”

Jordan frowned. ‘Jayd, c’mon, I’m your best friend!’

“And I’m exhausted!” Jayden closed his eyes, trying to tune her out so he could get some sleep.

‘From what? We used to pull all-nighters together all the time!’

Jayden buried his head in his pillow, trying to block out the memories of that night. “Please go.”

Jordan shuffled back to him and pressed against his back, arms wrapping around him again. ‘C’mon, you have to tell me what happened!’
Chester walked in after Oliver administered the cure to him. He frowned slightly at the scene, but he didn’t mind all that much, since he had no reason to hate Jordan. -
“I don’t want to talk about it right now.” Jayden protested, giving up on going to sleep.

‘Everything okay here?’ Chester asked softly, grabbing out two suitcases to begin packing.
‘Yes, go away, we’re having best friend time!’
‘Jayden’s supposed to be resting right now,’ -
“I’m trying to.” Jayden mumbled, looking up at him.

Chester frowned. ‘He needs sleep, Jordan.’
‘Pfft, no he doesn’t, he needs me,’ Jordan said, latching onto the blond.
‘Jordan, he’s been up all night and r*ped, get out or get off him,’ Chester snapped. He didn’t like the look on Jayden’s face.
