"Hey Vinz, whaddya think we'll find in the forest?" Norman said. He looked around the forest and wondered what made it grow so fast. Norman was always thinking about absurd things like this, but he didn't much care to think about anything else.
"Dunno, man," Vinz replies to Norman The Doorman Fields with a shrug. "Haven't been here since we were kids.. guess it's a walk down memory lane or some'n. I hear the forest's a good hangout spot too," He says with a smirk. Vinz was carrying his skateboard since the ground was too uneven to board through.
The breeze blew, sending strands of her hair floating about. Her fall could have almost been described as graceful. She stood in between the trees, her feet sinking into the earth beneath her. She didn’t mind it though. The earth was as pure as the angels themselves.
This angel was cautious as she inspected her surroundings. She caught a glimpse of two humans and began to cower. What could happen to her would be unpredictable.
"I remember running around here alot when my mom was around." Norman said cringing. Norman never liked saying things that had to do with his mom, but he felt obliged to say something about the forest and one of his memories there.
Vinz gave Norman a pat on the shoulder. He knew about the abuse Norman's mom put him through, but he also knew it was an uneasy topic so he didn't ask about it much. "It's gonna be okay, bro.. Man, for you this must be more bittersweet than nostalgic. I really only have fun memories here, meanwhile this was, like, a getaway for you," Vinz said. He heard a slight rustle in the bushes, but Vinz didn't think much of it, it was probably just a woodland animal.
Angel stepped back as she began to hear voices in the distance. In reality, they were very close. Her wings shifted and she winced in pain. Despite her easy fall, she had still managed to hurt one of her wings, disabling her ability to fly.
Norman heard a wince and started looking around frantically. He knew forests didn't wince, it was a funny concept the more he thought about it. Norman decided he'd just heard an animal. "Yeah, but the forest is still really cool." Norman said.
Vinz shivered when he noticed Norman looking around. "You feel it too, right? Like there's someone watching us.." Vinz trailed off. Suddenly this trip to the forest seemed more creepy than fun. "Anybody there?" Vinz called out, to test the waters.
Vinz refused to give up that easily. "If someone's there, you better come out!" Vinz voice was steadily getting louder. He gripped his skateboard, as if it could protect him. Vinz knew it was too bulky for that, but it made him feel better anyway.
Cautiously, Angel stepped into the light and further away from the tree. She held her hands behind her back, touching her fingers together. Her lips pressed together into a smooth pout and her eyes looked afraid. She didn’t know what the two humans were going to do with her.
"Do you know her?" Vinz asks in surprise at Norman's reaction. He notices her wings. "Is your name really Angel or is this cosplay or something? I'm.. very confused," Vinz drops his tense stance and relaxes. Atleast it wasn't some psycho with a chainsaw.
