Hm, this is a good topic for debate.
There's pros and cons for both sides. I think that, life should be valued, so ending a life so easily is wrong. Though compassion toward someone who is in pain and suffering, is a large aspect as well. Overall, I have to say I'm against it. -
FLgirl92 NoviceHave you heard of Terri Schaivo? She was a brain-dead woman down here in Florida. Her husband wanted to take her off life support, but George W. Bush intervened to keep her alive, for awhile anyway.
I would hate for anyone to suffer more than they have to. So for that reason, I am in favor of euthanasia. -
I think it should be up to the person who is in pain and suffering.

Seriously, if you're going to die anyways and you're going through intense pain just to be alive for just a short time, if you really want to end your life, you should have the option to 'opt out' -
It's not always that easy though, if the person can't speak, or, like mentioned above, is brain dead, they aren't able to make that decision. I think it's unfair to have someone else decide for them. I do agree with Ting and FL, however, and I am for it.

That's why I'm making a list of things people should do in the case that I go brain dead or something like that.
