Arielle bit her lip, now that Monti knew the truth, knew about the anonymous boy she needed help with.
-
A glass of water was set on the bedside table just a few inches away. Cameron lifted up a weak hand and managed to wrap his fingers around the cup. He attempted to lift it into the air, the glass proving itself too heavy to handle. With only a few inches of floor between the table and the bed, he tried to put it back. His hand shook violently before he couldn't take the weight anymore. The glass plummeted to the floor, shattering on impact. The sound seemed to echo throughout the room. He stared down at the mess of broken glass and water, tears stinging his eyes.
-
just as Monti was about to say something to Arielle she hears the sound of broken glass and quickly hurries inside the room
-
Arielle ran into the room, hearing the glass shattering. A tear fell from her eye as she looked at Cameron's sad face. Never once had she seen him cry. She went over to him, and looked in his eyes. "It's gonna be okay.." she said, even though she knew it wasn't.
-
He shook his head. Even that seemed impossible to do. "No... It won't be okay. I can't... I can't even pick up a stupid glass, Ari. It's not okay," he replied, the pain clearly prominent in his voice.
-
i sat next to him wiping his tear away "Do you want me to get you another glass?" i ask softly
-
She started sobbing. "it's going to work out... I can't let you leave me... Your my best friend, I--" she started sobbing. She couldn't finish the sentence.
-
Forget the first sentence of my post.
-
"Could you?" he asked Monti quietly. "Thanks." He waited until she was out of the room to comfort Arielle.
He placed a shaky hand on hers. "You don't know the half of it, Ari. Please. Let me explain." -
Monti left the room...to get another glassAri is acting abit strange...and her, love cameron...my boyfriend? kinda hard to believe
-
She sniffled. "No, you listen to me. I've been hiding something. And.. I can't stop hiding it... I.... I... I have feelings for you. Not like friend feelings. Like..."
-
He couldn't hold it in any longer. "Ari. I have leukemia." He said this so calmly, as if it were a plain fact... Like how the sky is blue or the grass is green; as if it was just a part of life.
-
"Wait... What?" tears fell from her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"
-
It killed him to see her so upset. "It... It went into remission before. I thought it would be gone, over, through. Then today... It's back. For the second time."
-
i came back with the glass and knocked on the door
