(Not much. Just got back from the Science Olympiad awards ceremony. Our school got second this year. A seven year undefeated streak now broken.)
I smiled and brought my lips to hers. -
(And I hear you had the same score and they had more gold medals....as if medals should count.)

(It's snowing...In a place that barely ever gets snow. And ironically it's the first day of spring.)
I kissed back. -
(Oh, wow.)
My hand lingered on the back of her neck as I deepened the kiss. -
(I feel sorry for my black dog....)
I stopped, breathing deeply. -
(Oh, jeez. xD)
I pulled away a few inches, blinking. I looked into her eyes, or at least tried to. -
In a few sort seconds, I thought about all of the things that would be able to keep us apart, and how we wouldn't be able to stop them each time.
Slowly, I met his eyes with my sad ones. -
I noted the despair in her eyes. "What's wrong?"

"It's just that....Aaron, I'm getting married in a few weeks. How are we going to find a way around that? I can't just steal a piece of paper this time."

I shut my eyes tightly. I had hoped that somehow, some way, that could just disappear. "I don't know, Phoebe... I don't know."

I held Aaron close to me and started to cry.

I wrapped my arms around her and gently stroked her head and neck. "It'll be okay... You'll have a great life. You'll be a wonderful wife and mother. Your parents will be very proud," I murmured, sadness and turmoil making my chest and heart tight.

"But...I don't want that. This is what I want. I want you."
