To have a lucid dream, you have to really get into it and think really hard about what's going on. I've done that before, and it worked. Other times, it just happens. It's usually a nightmare, and I seriously felt like I was going to die. It's terrifying.

Thank you. How can I tell myself I'm dreaming, when I'm sleeping?
-
Ughhh, I don't want to die from a dream.
-
Just think. "Does this usually happen on a daily basis?" "Are these my regular surroundings?" If not, you can tell yourself that you're dreaming.

I'm gonna try.

I used to be able to a lot but now that I rarely ever even have dreams I don't get much of a chance. .. It's hard to explain how you take control but I think it's mostly emotional, like how once I was about to fall into a deep hole in the ground, but I grabbed ahold to the ground on the side without actually being in control, but of course this was a nightmare so part of the ground turned to cardboard, and I slipped into the hole, and was extremely afraid so I took control and flew back out. ..

Do you think it can kill you?

no
